I somewhat agree with you. But remember back then most of those players were playing in Greece and the Greek league back then was a top 5 European league. Now it’s one of the worst. So these players that play in the Greek league may look good but really they’re nothing special. To be honest, I’m 46 years old and I think if I played striker or oly aek or paok I’d score against Xanthi, and Ergotelis and so on.

Unless Ronaldo, Neymar Messi or Mbappe turn Greek you can have any coach you want. Skibbe is a horrible coach but aside from maybe 3 or 4 players the others are horrible as well

Greece are in no position to sabotage games and take wins for granted. Remember Faroe?

I’m not saying Donis doesn’t have potential guys. I’m saying it hasn’t shown anywhere yet. If he was better he would be playing for another team not Stuttgart. The goalie scored against Bayern was nice. But if those kinds of plays come once every couple of years or so, it’s useless. Those plays have to be made consistently. I really hope I’m proven wrong in a couple years, months, or even next week. But I don’t see it as of yet. Trust me, I hope I can come back and apologize to everyone here for being wrong. As for the keeper positions sure Vlacho will be a great addition. But right now the more pressing needs on this team is attacking. I think everyone will agree to that. And yes, unfortunately I follow Greek soccer although it’s getting to the point where houseleague u 12 might be more enjoyable to watch, I still follow it.

Lmaooo. You guys are thinking he’s the next Mpabbe. Tell me what he’s done in the games he has played? How many goals has he been involved in? This team lacks scoring. If you want good foot work and dribbling there’s an acrobat on every street corner that can do that for spare change. Results count. Not style points.
-
Exactly. So he’s not a big loss. You just said it yourself. Stuttgart player. Not Liverpool. And Mitroglou wouldn’t be a big loss either. The striker on my sons 14 year old team can probably score more goals than any of these useless attackers that are out there.
-
Really? The job of a forward or an attacker is to score and create. This team has a problem doing that. Give me a less talented, slower, weaker player that can score any day of the week.
-
Donis is made of glass. Geez. Oh well , not a big loss anyway. Hasn’t even scored yet.

There are more pressing needs than a goalie. How about finding someone that can put the ball in the net consistently.

I’m tired of hearing Donis this Donis that. He’s nothing special. He’s played in like 8 games and doesn’t even have a goal yet. Maybe that will change. But until it does he is what he is. Another offensive bust. A lot of us try to glorify these guys as being better than they actually are. Mitroglou 60 games. 16 goals. When you have to rely on a guy like that for production, your doomed. Hopefully next year we’re not talking about playing Andorra and Sam Marino in the D division.

I would leave the back 7 the same as the first game. They didn’t give up a goal. Why change? They did their job. You can’t give up less goals than zero.

Nations League: Estonia vs. Greece(A Le Coq Arena, Tallinn)

I agree goal differential does come into play somewhere down the line, but if you win all your games 1 0 or 10 0 doesn’t matter. Only comes into play if you drop points. So hopefully they don’t drop points. Also I think the first tiebreaker for uefa is head to head. Whereas FIFA is goal differential. -

Whether you win 1 0 or 10 0, a screamer from 30 yards out, or a deflection inside the 6, the result is the same. 3 points. I don’t know why all the hate on lyko. In the end, the defence did their job. You can’t do any better than a clean sheet. -

If you have the sports package it will be on one of the sports net channels. At least I hope so. If Tziolis and Tzavellas start, I’m gonna need a new tv after I break it. -
Actually I haven’t watched oly. Just by the highlights I see it seems he’s always creating and around the ball. I guess you would know more than me. I’m saying that respectfully by the way. Not sarcastically. As far as pace is concerned, we both know that Greeks and pace do not belong in the same sentence. No Greek players have pace. None. A few may look fast playing against other Greeks but they actually are just average. I’m 46 I have never seen a fast Greek player. By fast I mean world class speed. As far as I know, you can stick me in there and I’m pretty sure I can beat half of them in a race still. Lol. And I will stand by my Zeca comment always. He’s not Greek. Never will be to me. Good luck this weekend to our country.

Bouchalakis should be given a shot to start. He’s playing lights out. Zeca shouldn’t be called up at all. He’s not Greek. Never will be. I guess I’m old school and have a problem with that.

I really hope Sokratis can elevate his play next week. His arsenal tenure has been a disaster so far. He looks very slow, out of position and lost out there.
-
England would rip Greece apart. Not because they’re better, but because their speed.
