More injury woes for the NT..

A draw would be a positive result for Greece but the win is possible as we are at home and of we get it puts us in first place. Going to Italy will be hard as they have a great record in qualifiers on Italian soil. Greece have to beat Bosnia at home and then take at least 4 points from Finland and that will put us through.

Yes Mitroglou brings that element were one decent chance comes his way and he finishes it..

Good question? A game of this magnitude should be a sell out or close to that. I wish I could be in Greece for it!

I am so excited for this match, Greece rarely get matched up with Italy in Euro or WCUP qualifiers or at finals tournaments. I play football with many Italians and have lot of Italian buddies. When I ask them for there take they don't seem to be that confident as they say they are in transition and not an overwhelming side. Greece have to play it tight at the back and wait for our chances to come.. PA ME ELLAS!

I can't find any news on Mitroglou? We have to be better defensively as the last two games we have conceeded 2 goals in the first 20 minutes.. With Manolas back things should tighten up at the back. Also no Balotelli is a bonus, greek defence has to be especially careful with the pacey Moise Keen.

Kolovos better start he has been great and always looks to play direct.

Samaris was very bad yesterday, in the Bosnia match he was strong for us but Zeca in the middle with him helped out immensely. Fortounis smashed a great chance wide of goal in the first half, I thought for sure he was going to put it away. Overall he looked off vs turkey but I expect him to bring his best game vs Italy, let’s hope so.

Yes we need donis to take on defenders with his pace out wide.. He had trouble as our striker vs Bosnia. Hopefully koulouris will get some service vs Italy. How long is Mitroglou out for??

At the beginning of the match you could definitely see how much we missed Sokratis and Manolas in the back. Nothing we could do on the 2nd goal Samaris just gave the ball away in the worst part of the field..

The team lacked precence in the midfield. They could not create any flow there. Once we got to the final third and a chance presented itself there were missed crosses as we saw from mantalos and pelkas to name a few. This match does not count in the standings but the guys should have gone much harder and treated as a war, look at who we were playing? The kolo Turks. There seemed to be a lack of determination from the start of the game and then most of the 2nd half.. Very disappointed that Greece couldn't get a result...

Hopefully we see a big comeback in the 2nd half as we saw in Bosnia.

We had a couple chances to score Samaris hit the post and Fortounis hit a shot wide of goal. Our defending is questionable and we are giving the ball away cheaply...

Not good to hear this especially since Toro has given so much heart for the ethniki. Let's hope this situation works itself out.. Hopefully Greece can get a result of the Turks especially in turkey and missing key players as well. PA ME ELLAS!!

I think in Canada they are carrying it. Also ESPN 3 broadcasts qualifiers but is not available here I tried to get the channel through Rogers. The last few years they were on sportsnet or sportsnet package. Does anyone know how to get this game vs Italy on tv here in Canada...

He hasn't been that great but he is a good young talent. I guess Mancini will go with Sirigu. Yesterday he dropped Balotelli from the squad. Your lucky if you get to see the NT. I wanted to see them play Italy but not able to go at that time. It will be a great scene around OAKA vs Italy..

According to the score tv Italy's goalie Donnaruma will miss the matches vs Greece and Bosnia due to a thigh strain he suffered with AC Milan over the weekend.

Typical Uefa would Greece have gotten a decision like this? What about us losing Manolas for the first playoff game vs Croatia over what the intentional yellow for time wasting and the decision to suspend him came almost a month after the Cyprus game and a week before the playoff.. If Greece can beat Italy I would guess that they would take care of the Bosnians at home even with Pjanic.
