no cause two of mitroglous biggest assets are his heading + poaching. He's a pure striker. will most likely be zeca. he's not as bad as you say he's basically what Maniatis was in like 2012 who do we have available? seems like our midfield would be = fortounis, zeca, mantalos, kpaps, gianniota out = samaris, tzavellas, tachtsi? we don't actually have a lot to worry about missing players because while our midfield isn't that good, all our replacements are equally as good. eg) for tzavella we just put in staf as LB and then gianniota can assume stafs wing duty. only midfielder I'd be annoyd not to start is fortouni and fetfa (who never starts)

we could really use him but i doubt skibbe is going to call him up mantalos is okay but I think fetfa would've been more dynamic vs. belgium would prefer our midfield being tachtsi, samaris, fortouni, fetfa and karelis cf as the main staple + mitroglou as st fetfa is a wild card who can make something out of nothing and he has pace that we don't have a lot of in the midfield.

we still can grab points from them in athens but they'll likely be tougher via hazard and de bruyne and they'll come at us harder

it was a team effort. kapino double save on the lukaku header preserved the draw. tachtsidis in midfield is nice. being able to win headers in the midfield is so valuable + pinpoint passes. Samaris with the defensive heavy lifting. weakest link was probably fortounis he was pretty invisible and isn't having the best season compared to last year.

Sokratis post match interview. he notes that the Greeks need to show love for their players and the reported reminded him that 2500 Greeks came to see him. (They were likely from the diaspora though)

our most likely chance is if we beat/tie Bosnia and lose to Belgium but win the playoff spot. what happens between Belgium/Greece/Bosnia is going to be vital cause I don't think any team is gunna drop points to Cyprus/Estonia/Gilbratar this campaign. the 2nd place teams are all pretty beatable for us. And also if we have high points (which we currently do it will be someone beatable) for example as it stood before the game our opposition is northern ireland which we struggled with last campaign but we should really be able to take them or is it randomized? last world cup I think it came down to fifa draw/seeding so that's trouble. we didn't get the red and held on against belgium, beat bosnia and tie belgium and win everything else to capture 1st that would of been best case scenario.

the first tachtsi yellow was harsh imo and he got mitro the assist. so his role as a fellani disrupter was valid if we had 11 men we may have held on tho

it's frustrating how we can't hold onto the ball for 30 seconds but we do have one of the best defenses in the world. we're still in the drivers seat tho that's the good thing

would've been so nice to get the win sucks a shock win was snapped with minutes to go. but if u told me 1-1 yeah I'd take it. Bravo ston Mitroglou. Manolas also played great. Staf was also amazing. Fortounis was a bit invisible and Sokratis was great besides the Sokratis goal. Tzavellas also played baller besides his temper and at least it only costed him at the 90th minute. Luckily for Bosnia we'll likely have kpaps back and we have some depth with Zeca, Siopis, Maniatis to cover Tachtsi

so far so good. question is can we sustain? would like to see gianniotas on at some point for counter attack they won't be as easy to contain second half I'm sure. Especially with their deep bench options.

wow that is probably our best lineup bravo. (besides fetfa still think he should be there) we might be able to win with a pinpoint tachtsi pass with this lineup
