I think you guys are missing the point... I'm not criticizing the signing... I'm praising it.. we did good to sign him... I dont get why you think I believe this is "bad" signing... I'm just surprised/flabbergasted with how everyone (on the site and in Greece) is reacting... its as if we signed some marquee player Bottom line... Abeid is a good young player and we should be targeting these players b/c they will eventually get us far... however, he by no means a player to go absolutely bonkers about and definately not worth the 2.5 year serial drama we have been reading about As for Cisse... I was ALWAYS in favor of signing Cisse b/c he had come off a good season in England.. 100% behind the signing as I even picked up his jersey when I went to Greece As for Gilberto Silva... Yes you are are right... I was critical about his signing as I believed we should have gone for an attacking player.... In order to win the super league you need attackign players to give you goals... This league isn't super critical/complex where you need a solid DM to prevent goals from being leaked... its a poorly offensive league and therfore halfway decent defenses will do just fine It's no surprise that when we signed attacking talent (Cisse, Leto, Katsouranis) we cruised to win the league... This is the EXACT SAME reason why I am against Essien... and even more so... Essien hasn't played a full season of soccer in 1.5 years! This is how you succeed in this league and in Europe... 1) Bring in attacking talent that can unlock tight defenses b/c teams in the SL play anti-soccer 2) Take money from winning league and invest in a bench and defensive players to be competitive in Europe This team has no business right now competing in Europe... we are wayyyy too weak defensively given that we are still financially strapped... one thing at a time... focus on league and cup.... then work on Europe next year... no excuses next year

Oh im not saying that we didnt' do well to pick him up... far from it He's a good player... but thats about it... he's not a world killer.. he's just an influential part of a midfield that will help down the road These are the types of players we should be getting... Yes, with the cripple and the xasapi... we dont have a team... With players like Abeid coming we are starting to build something.. but its not worth the second coming of Messi as some paint it out to be He's just a small piece of the puzzle that we need to build on... At any time during the year you have to use your players wisely.... right now... we are tettering on the verge of burnout and we have 4 games in 10 days... As a coach, you have to pick and choose which games you really want to win... need to win.. and can afford some leeway The pressure is on Anastasiou to deliver the prwtathlima this year.... therefore he will play his best starting 11 against Panatiolikos and any GSL opponent He obviously doesn't rate Qabala very much as you can see we had a very weird line up... none of those players played with each other ever and he just hoped for a win but it wasn't necessary The players don't "pick" and choose games... they obviously tried to play but due to lack of chemistry amongst themsevles and a terrible pitch.. they coudln't do anyting and looked terrible The problem is.. if Qabala scores in Greece.... IMMENSE pressure will be on to overturn the score and win.... If they dont... a lot of criticism will be thrown around and the team may go into a mini slump due to the psyhcological impact of losing to that team, however in the end, without the pressure of Europe on us...I think we will hit a stride that will go unrivled You read it here first... if PAO is knocked out of Europe (not goin to happen but just saying)... we will win the prwtathlima

Its not a "few kilos".... this is a LOT of weight.... If it was 3-4 lbs.. who cares... we are taking about 10 lbs... Not only that... isn't he supposed to be a professional?? How do you allow yourself to balloon up like that? As for 10 lbs affecting training... anytime you lose that much weightin that short of a period.. your body goes through an adjustment phase... not only that.. but the adipose tissue he had around his surgery will be gone leaving his surgical site more vulnerable for injury.... Anyway... lets see how he does in basic practices and in 3 weeks we'll see him play a game

How the mighty have fallen...... Cant believe we're making this much of a fuss over the signing of Abeid.... I mean don't get me wrong.. he's a good player and can definitely help us if he reaches the form he had 2 years ago but the way some people on here and in Greece are acting its as if we signed Robin Van Persie!! Not to mention we going crazy about signing a crippled player and the new "Sarriegi".... Anyway... I guess we got to start somewhere and build from there.... with this squad we can fight for the championship as long as we avoid injuries.... I don't think our bench is "mature" enough to take on the pressure of the prwtathlima... time will tell!

Anastasiou played it safe today... He knows we have 4 games in 10 days... he knows our squad is tetering on the verge of being burned out if not used correctly He decided to pick the "bench players" to play in our away match and have our regular "starters" play on Monday Expect Berg/Ninis/Lagos to be back in the starting lineup on Monday against Panaitolikos Anastasiou's main goal today was to not lose or get scored on.. as far as he's concerned... he succeeded today (small coach mentality) If you ask me, we are in possible danger... Our defense is a Luna Park... one mishap at Leoforo and if we get scored on.... it will be quite a pressure cooker on the team to preform Bottom line is we will probably win 2-0 but will have to spit blood to go through.... As for all those nay sayers.... Told you to play the under.... ;) Anyway...anyone see Accor?? He's pulled a disappearing act.... Hopefully Giourkas and Cocksta can send out a search party for him

You guys do realize he was damaged goods when we first brought him over.. and instead of him doing everything he possibily could to be ready and be a "leader" of this team... his fitness will be delayed 2-3 weeks in order for him to drop enough weight in order to be able to complete a game... Not only that.. but god forbid this guy gets injured as he's doing high intensity interval training to up his cardio.... Let me ask you this.... what example do you think this sets for the other players? This is your leader.. and he's stuck trimming down weight b/c he ballooned up before and after surgery... What kind of example do you think this sets for the academy players that look up to this guy??

They were a very well managed team until they sold off half their roster this year...... Idiots... They came up from NOTHING and built themselves a really good team over 4 years... they have built a new stadium.. have been gaining some of the better attendances in the league.... They are quite the up and coming team.. but if they sell the entire squad that got them there and don't resign other players (the black guy who is a TANK and is a CB) then they are doomed for failure instead....they go on the cheap and try to sign players like Giannou who blow donkey penis
