  1. Katsouranis said the same thing a few days ago. If the appropriate formula is known, why should not we use it?
  2. I hope everybody sees (except perhaps aek66 and the likes) that Fetfatzidis, Samaris, Tachtsidis, Karelis, Aravidis, Fountas, Kolovos etc. are s%$#! and for the moment most of them shouldnt called up. Perhaps later they will be able to play a certain role in a defensive match strategy, but even that isnt certain. Even players like Avraam Papadopoulos, Spyropoulos or Patsazoglou were much more useful than they and contributed more.
  3. Did Katsouranis or Basinas or both of them play a centre back in 2004? So much for your competence.
  4. If only we can... He has a good job, makes great work in Portugal I bet he will be there until 2018 WC (at least).
  5. We should establish a good defense to remain competitive at all (2 DMs, defensive overall strategy). All the other things should come after that.
  6. Tsanas was sad because of the loss, but spoke about positive signs and said: "We have lost, but we can be optimistic." http://ethnikiomada.vodafone.gr/tsanas-xasame-alla-mporoume-na-eimaste-aisiodoksoi/ http://www.sports8.gr/article.42653-Tsanas-Para-tin-itta-eimaste-aisiodoxoi.html We should prompt find a competent trainer.
  7. After such a debacle there are posters who try to find excuses for the young & useless tits and to blame Tziolis and Vyntra for everything. *facepalm* Vyntra was a necessary choice because of Torosidis' absence. In defense he hadnt much work, he tried to go forward and create chances as Torosidis does but he isnt so strong at that. Both of them were average, and clearly they didnt were the worst in the team. Hint: It was totally useless to start (or call up) Aravidis, a second Mantalos choice. Karelis shot for all directions, it was hilarious. I didnt understand why Fountas was subbed in instead of Fetfatzidis. Tsanas is totally incompetent (that could be said after the Serbia match too) and should be replaced... perhaps EPO can select a proper head coach at the third attempt after Ranieri and Markarian.
  8. Kats was still available. So was Tziolis and Maniatis. I was very disappointed when Santos left.
  9. Nearly won a penalty for us at the end. As versus Romania, he looked better than the other midfielders but he was only subbed in after an hour or so, for some reason.
  10. That between 2004 and 2014 was our Golden Generation under our best head coaches (Rehhagel, Santos) ever.
  11. The young scumbags (Tachtsidis, Karelis, Lazaros, Fetfatzidis, Samaris etc.) are s%$#!. Some here wanted these players to play since 2011 instead of Karagounis and Katsouranis. Some good defenders we have, attacking midfielders and attackers stink.
  12. Kone was perhaps some good in attack. Fortounis too. Aravidis, Karelis were horrible.
  13. Tsanas is an incompetent s%$#!. Aravidis starts, Fountas in place of Karelis. Kone looked a bit better than the other attackers. Why wasnt he put in the starting XI?
  14. I hope Tsanas could rally a bit the guys in the pause. Santos was great at that.
  15. Perhaps Kone of Fetfatzidis can do something. No Platellas, we had enough of the Mantalos/Aravidis type players with zero cap.
  16. Aravidis is another Mantalos. Tsanas isnt a right solution, he should be replaced.
  17. If you know a secure method with which we can easily beaten, of course youll choose another. Since the Sweden match allegedly everybody knows how to beat us, do you think teams like Israel, Ukraine, Romania, Japan, Ivory Coast, Croatia wouldnt have tried that method against us in (for them too) crucial matches? Farcical.
  18. "People have caught on" - Some examples? If they caught on already in 2008 and it is so easy why did use NOBODY that strategy against us? Farcical.
  19. Do you think Russia and Co. didnt want to win the matches vs us? They could have easily win but they chose another strategy? Do you see now what rubbish you write?
  20. Rehhagel tried a strategy (5-3-2) which was new and unknown to the players. It didnt work (bad game & defeat). Then he returned to the earlier method. If it would have been so easy to beat us (give us the ball) do you think Russia, Romania or Ivory Coast or anybody for that matter wouldnt have tried that strategy? That isnt so simple. If the opponent concentrated on defense it was more difficult for the Ethniki to score (and for them too), thats fairly trivial. Cf. the Switzerland game under Santos. The referee disallowed vs Russia the goal of Charisteas - it wasnt an offside, we wouldnt have been out after 2 matches, and then the best starting XI (no Spyropoulos and the likes) would have started versus Spain B. There were the horrible faults of Nikopolidis (versus Russia and Sweden) they costed us two goals too.
