    We are very interested in CB Juan Cala (official name Juan Torres Ruiz) of Getafe. He is 26 and originates from the youth academy of Sevilla. He played for six months at AEK in the 2011/2012 season. I see a lot of the Primera Division, but I don't know him to be honest.

    Colombia advanced to the semi's after a penalty shoot-out (4-2) against Peru. According to the rules there was no extra time after the regular 90 minutes, where no goals were scored.

    Update on the Twente-case: At first they did not get a licence from the committee that decided that for next years Eredivisie. Than Twente lost an appeal in regular court. Now they won the appeal against the licence-committee at the Dutch FA. Thus they stay in the Eredivisie. The winning argument was that Twente did everything it could to get clean with the past. Twente must now only pay a fine of 181,000 euro. Don't know if the arrangement friendly still stands or was cancelled anyway. Whatever. I will go to a game one way or the other.

    Atromitos announced the signing of Nicolas Diguiny. Diguiny comes from Panthrakikos (55 games, 8 goals in 2 years) and has signed a 2-year contract.

    Chile progressed to the quarterfinals beating Panama 4-2. The quarterfinals are: USA - Ecuador Peru - Colombia Argentina - Venezuela Mexico - Chile

    We will probably play 5 friendly matches in Holland. The first will be easy ones to get some rhytm and then 3 tough matches. One of these matches will be against Steaua Bucharest.

    According to Norwegian media we are interested in 23year old RB Jonas Svensson from Rosenborg. Leicester City, AZ Alkmaar, FC Basel, Basaksehir and Union Berlin are other clubs interested in this guy. Therefore I predict 0% chance he will wear our black and white shirt.

    Brazil was defeated by Peru and is eliminated in the Copa. Peru clinched the first spot in group B and will now face Colombia. Ecuador finished second and will face USA.

    I agree with you, Akriti. And his former club Dnipro is not allowed to play in Europe due to suspension so that is another positive point in favour of AEK.

    Zivkovic is a great talent. Saw him playing in EL against AZ Alkmaar. We won't sign him. He is too good for the Greek League in general and thus for PAOK also. He was suspended by Partizan because he refused to extend his contract. He was playing there with some kind of construction that made it necessarry to sell him in order to pay x% to the organisation. Now Partizan has to pay a fine and will have zilch fee. Just saw it too that Mateus is officially a PAOKtzis.

    27year old Frenchman David N'Gog is offered to PAOK. The former Liverpool-player is a free-agent and played last season in Reims (France).

    USA (first place in the group) and Colombia advance to the quarterfinals. Di Maria (Argentina) is out for the rest of the tournament after yet again an injury at a big tournament.

    EPO is preparing a new rule that says that if a club has a no-show in the cup that club will be relegated and is not allowed to participate in a European competition. This is a reaction of this years dicision of PAOK not to go to Karaiskaki.

    Rumors are now that Twente will ask for bankruptcy if they are relegated. The deficit is about 80 mio Euro's and all measures and help are based on a stay in the Dutch Eredivisie.
