  3. A. Zivkovic and Schwab are at 3 yellow cards. If they receive one today they will miss the big game on Sunday against Olympiakos. Bise with a start. I have a feeling that he will score today and give us the win. In the other game Panathinaikos is playing with a full squad of players infected with COVID-19 according with Panathinaikos officials, but I don't really believe them. Rumors are that Olympiakos also has COVID cases and I would not be surprised if they use that fact to postpone our game against them on Sunday.
  4. Monday at 21:00 EEST. Decided by the big, and I mean big, President of Superleague.
  5. Obvious must win game in order to have a chance to defeat Olympiakos in the last round of the playoffs and claim the 3rd place in the standings.
  6. First rumors: - Dantas to stay on loan for one more season and extend his contract with Benfica - Pelkas is free and is serious about returning to PAOK - Krmencik's agent was in Thessaloniki recently and is trying to bring him back to PAOK
  7. Since pash is too lazy to open his favorite topic I'll do it for him. Let the fun begin.
  8. 3:1 win for PAOK 'B' against Niki Volos.
  9. VS MATCHUP: NFC Volos - P.A.O.K. Thessaloniki COMPETITION: Superleague 1 – Playoffs - Round 9 DATE: 07-May-2023 TIME: 20:00 EET (17:00 UTC, 12:00 CDT, 03:00 AEST next day) CITY/STADIUM: Volos – Panthessaliko Stadio (Capacity: 22,700) REFEREES: TELEVISION: COSMOTE Sport (Greece), Antenna Satellite/Pacific (USA, Canada/Australia) NFC Volos – PAOK history: 2022-2022: 0:1 (Thomas) - Attendance: 4,288 2021-2022: 0:4 (Kurtic, Ingason, Sastre, Akpom) - Attendance: 377 2020-2021: 0:0 - Attendance: no fans 2019-2020: 0:2 (Limnios, Pelkas-p) - Attendance: 4,566 GAMES: 4 WINS: 3 TIES: 1 LOSSES: 0
  10. Thomas MVP for PAOK. Kotarski made some big saves in 2nd half but is at fault in the Panathinaikos goal. Win against Volos on Sunday and then give it all against Olympiakos in the last game of the Superleague for this season.
  11. Too bad AEK could not beat Olympiakos.
  12. PAO with 10 men. Shenkenveld red card.
  13. I hope Oliveira is done with PAOK. If I was Savvidis I would not pay the money he wants to resign with the team.
  14. PAOK HC Women's Handball team has defeated OF Nea Ionia 23:15 in the 4th and decisive game of the Greek Women's Handball Championships and for 5th straight season captured the national title.
  15. AEL FC Arena is a no go. The stadium does not have a license to hold games, but that does not stop Iraklis Larisa to play their Superleague2 game in that stadium. Speaking of licenses neither does OPAP Arena have one but that does not stop AEK from playing there. EPO is now looking at Lamia and Agrinio as possible stadiums to hold the final. When Harry Klynn was alive he once called Greece the only African country on the European continent. How true that statement was.
  16. They are going to start playing in 2024-2025 season in the local Xanthi league. It will be a while before we see them in the top divisions again.
  17. Squad for the game: Sastre, Ingason, Augusto, Taison, Kurtic, Narey out.
  18. Fenerbahce will not renew the option for Pelkas and he will become a free agent at the end of the season. Currently is on loan at Hull City. Could there be a return to PAOK in the cards? He is 29 years old.
  19. It's difficult because people are playing political games. One of the biggest crooks in Greek football Beos is in charge of the Volos stadium and he is placing all kinds of obstacles for the game to be played there. If he does not give the ok, the game will not be played there. He got the control of the stadium as the mayor of Volos and it was given to him by the current prime minister of Greece Evaggelos Marinakis. Kaftanzoglio is in such shambles that it is in no shape for a cup final to be played there. As it is AEK would not agree to play in Thessaloniki anyway. OAKA is controlled by Marinakis through Avgenakis and those two are waging a war against the current EPO leadership, so that stadium is out of the question. AEL FC Arena is privately owned and the owner agrees for the game to be played there, but the local government (probably on orders from the Marinakis government in Athens) will place obstacles for the game to be played. What's left is Toumba and OPAP Arena. Unless they agree on a two leg final I don't see that happening. I would like to see the final being played in Constantinople. Both finalists have roots in that city, and I am sure the Turkish government could use it as a propaganda tool against Athens, so they would probably give the ok. Final option is not to play the final at all and use a coin toss to decide winner.
