  1. Just a note that the ranking points the Eagle posted are for draw purposes for next season and are not final. For current season and the draw for the Round of 16 (if we qualify), the final ranking points from last season are taken into account. For example PAOK has 37.440 points and we are ranked number 18 from all the 32 teams in the Europa League Round of 32: Schalke 04 GER 96.035 Zenit St. Peterspburg RUS 93.216 Manchester United ENG 82.256 Shakhtar Donetsk UKR 81.976 Athletic Bilbao ESP 75.142 Tottenham Hotspur ENG 74.256 Olympiakos Piraeus GRE 70.940 Olympique Lyon FRA 63.049 Villareal ESP 60.142 Ajax Amsterdam HOL 58.112 AFC Fiorentina ITA 57.087 Anderlecht Brussels BEL 54.000 AZ Alkmaar HOL 43.612 Borussia Monchengladbach GER 42.035 AS Roma ITA 41.587 Fenerbahce Istanbul TUR 40.920 Sparta Prague CZE 40.585 PAOK Thessaloniki GRE 37.440 KRC Genk BEL 36.000 APOEL Nicosia CYP 35.935 Besiktas Istanbul TUR 34.920 Legia Warsaw POL 28.000 AS St. Etienne FRA 26.049 Ludogorets Razgrad BUL 25.625 KAA Gent BEL 25.000 FC Copenhagen DEN 24.720 FC Krasnodar RUS 24.216 Celta Vigo ESP 21.142 FC Rostov RUS 11.716 Astra Giurgiu ROM 11.076 Osmanlispor Ankara TUR 6.920 Hapoel Beer Sheva ISR 4.725

  3. Did anyone notice the Matos celebration move at 0:26 seconds?
  4. Here is the updated and final list of our possible opponents following the Sassuolo - Genk game: Tottenham Hotspur (ENG) Olympique Lyon (FRA) FC Copenhagen (DEN) Besiktas Istanbul (TUR) Fenerbahce Istanbul (TUR) APOEL Nicosia (CYP) AS Saint Etienne (FRA) Zenit St. Petersburg (RUS) AS Roma (ITA) Ajax Amsterdam (HOL) Shakhtar Donetsk (UKR) Schalke 04 (GER) AFC Fiorentina (ITA) - can't get drawn with them Sparta Prague (CZE) Osmanlispor Ankara (TUR) KRC Genk (BEL) Round of 32 games will be played on February 16, 2017 (Leg 1) and February 23, 2017 (Leg 2). The first leg will be played at Toumba Stadium.
  5. Nice match up bringing a top class team to Toumba would be AS Roma. Don't know if I want Ajax again. It's getting old. Would not mind Sparta Prague, as they will not be ready after the winter break in Czech league. Also would not mind APOEL or Copenhagen (Olsen). Hope we stay away from Schalke, Zenit, Shakhtar and Fenerbahce.

  7. Finally some good news for PAOK. We'll be playing European games in spring 2017.
  8. Qarabag and Fiorentina both hit posts in that game. I am worried about that game as long as Fiorentina does not score.
  9. Goal created by hard work from Matos, our best signing by far.
  10. Here is one with Polish commentary: http://0eb.net/video/711896.html
  11. I was reading some Czech sites this morning and there was an interview with Egon Vuch, one of the Liberec forwards, who had a good game against Qarabag (3:0). Vuch said that his team actually plays better in away games, and he said he is certain he will have as good a game against PAOK and he expects to score. I expect Ivic to start with ---------------- Glykos --------------- Matos - Varela - Crespo - Leovac ------ Canas ---------- Cimirot ------ Campos -- Shakhov -- Rodrigues ---------------- Klaus -----------------
  12. Straight from UEFA's web site: Group J: Qarabağ (7) v Fiorentina (10), PAOK (7) v Slovan Liberec (4) Fiorentina are definitely through unless they lose and PAOK win, in which case it would then come down to a three-way head-to-head. In this scenario, the outcome would depend on the goals scored in the game between the Fiorentina and Qarabağ. Qarabağ are through with a win, or a draw if PAOK do not win (Qarabağ have a head-to-head advantage over PAOK). Also if PAOK do not win, Qarabağ can only top the group if they win 4-0 or by margin of five goals or more. PAOK must pick up more points than Qarabağ (who have the head-to-head advantage over the Greek side), or win and hope Fiorentina lose a margin of six goals or more. Liberec are through if they win and Qarabağ lose as Slovan would top the three-way tie-break for second place. http://www.uefa.com/uefaeuropaleague/news/newsid=2425783.html
  13. Besides Baros, their best defensman Martin Latka (used to play for Panionios in the past) is also not coming to Thessaloniki. I wonder who will start in goal for us. Ivic said last week that Brkic will start in Europe and Glykos in Superleague. Not sure if changes his mind following Sunday's game against Panathinaikos. PAOK will need to be patient on Thursday. Liberec is the one that needs a win badly. We might be ok with a tie. Let Liberec open up and kill them on counters. That's when we are the most successful.
  14. PAS Giannina scoring a goal.
  15. Andre Marriner from England is the ref for the game. He is the one that called he PAOK - Rapid Vienna disaster few years back.
  16. VS MATCHUP: P.A.O.K. Thessaloniki – Platanias Chania COMPETITION: Superleague – Round 14 DATE: 11-Dec-2016 TIME: 17:15 GR (15:15 GMT, 09:15 CST, 02:15 AEDT CITY/STADIUM: Thessaloniki - Toumba Stadium (Capacity: 28,703) REFEREES: TELEVISION: Novasport 2 (Greece), Novasport 2 (Cyprus) PAOK – Platanias History: 2014-2015: 1:0 (Athanasiadis) - Attendance: 8,987 2014-2015: 1:0 (Athanasiadis) - Attendance: 13,823 2013-2014: 1:0 (Vukic) - Attendance: 14,716 2012-2013: 2:0 (Salpiggidis (p), Lino)) - Attendance: 7,765 GAMES: 4 WINS: 4 TIES: 0 LOSSES: 0
  17. Sounds like he had no other choice. You think if he said no to Tzavellas, the little spoiled brat would not force his daddy to fire Ivic?
  18. From all accounts, it's a good thing that I did not see the game. As mentioned above we struggle against teams playing defensively. Also, all an opponent has to do is isolate Rodrigues, and our offensive threat is gone.
  19. pash, Indiana does not exist!
  20. Pantelis Konstantinidis is back at PAOK and will hold a position which he had in the past and will report to Lubos Michel.
