  1. Not only isn't lucky, she also tested positive for a banned substance and is looking at a 4-year doping ban.
  2. Apparently Meite is a done deal since Lucescu does not want to consider any other options.
  3. I'll be happy with a tie in Sweden, but predict a 0:1 victory.
  4. Women's water polo team beat France and made it to quarterfinals, where they will meet a very strong Australia. As expected Gusin and Frantzeskakis did not come close to their best marks and finished 9th and 12th respectively in finals today.
  5. And just like that the path to a medal for the basketball team is open. Germany is a tough team, but our chances are much better than if we faced USA. If we manage to eliminate Germany we will play the winner of Canada - France in the semifinal.
  6. Apparently we have a 1 mil offer for Ekong from Dubai.
  7. Greece will make the quarterfinals in basketball if Serbia beats South Sudan by 3 points or if South Sudan beats Serbia by 19 points. Unfortunately if we do qualify we will most like meet the two big favorites USA or Germany. We could have made things so much easier if we beat Australia by 10 points. At one point we were winning by as much as 19 points. Golomeev finished 5th in the 50 meters Freestyle. Same result for him as in Tokyo in 2021. He was very close to medaling.

  9. Tsitsipas once again showing that he has a loser mentality. He was leading Djokovic 4:0 in second set and up 40:0 and managed to lose the set and the match 3:6, 6:7. Same goes for the other loser Sakkari, who had her path opened to a medal by some of the favorites being eliminated, only to lose to low rate Kostyuk from Ukraine.

  12. There are two PAOK athletes that are taking part in at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Odysseas Melanidis, who is part of the Greek swimming team. He took part in the 4x100 meter Freestyle relay, which finished in the 16th place overall in the competition with a time of 3:17.47. The other PAOK athlete is Theodoros Tselidis. Tselidis was born in Russia to a Greek father and Russian mother and moved to Greece in 2018. Tzelidis is the athlete that won the first medal for Greece at the Paris Olympics in 90 kg event in Judo. His results to the bronze medal were as follows: Round of 32: Tzelidis - Florentino (Dom. 13. Let's be positive. The day started well with PAOKtsaki Tzelilis getting the first medal for Greece in the Olympics and will end with easy qualification to the next round. The midfield duo of Ozdoev, Schwab worries me a bit.
  14. First medal (bronze) for Greece from Theodoros Tselidis in the 90 kg Judo competition.
  15. I was just listening to a random Thessaloniki sports station and they had their reporter in Banja Luka who said that the only change in PAOK's lineup compared to the first game will be Otto in place of Sastre. I do believe that Lucescu is sometimes very stubborn, but I don't believe he is so stupid as not to change the midfield and also not start Konstantelias instead of Murg.

  18. I don't see any changes this season. It will probably be the same setup as last season. As far as I know the deal between COSMOTE and Novasport was for Greece only. The international streaming service Net TV Plus that showed some games last season is owned by Novasport and was only able to show the games that Novasport had rights to. I don't see that changing for this season. As for the regular (non-streaming) international TV rights we will probably see the same arrangement as previous seasons. Antenna Satellite/Pacific and Sport Plus will split the games among themselves. I don't see any significant changes happening until 2025-26 season, when apparently the Superleague will attempt to set up a collective agreement concerning the TV rights.
  19. At the last minute Novasport managed to get the rights to televise the game in Greece and Cyprus. Also bunch of Serbian/Croatian/fakeMacedonian/Bosnian TV channels will show the game. Not sure if it will happen tomorrow but the last two Borac European games were streamed for free on youtube live.
  20. Chalov is apparently done deal negotiated by Ivan Savvidis himself. Surprised though that he did not travel with Ivan in his private jet to Thessaloniki on Friday. Chalov will probably just come during the week and sign a contract with Savvidis at his Halkidiki resort.
  21. Yeah, I followed the game. However they will be knocked out in the next round as they will face FC Copenhagen.
  22. Well she was dropped from the Olympic team and did not travel to Paris. She claims she is innocent (they always do). She'll probably get 4 year ban. I don't see her racing again.
