They have speculated quite a bit. Ranging from "it's a done deal" to "if we sell Henrique" or "if Wolfsburg releases him". They basically have no clue what's going on. That's why they throw out things and in the end one of the things they speculated about will stick and they will come out bragging "we reported it first".

I consider Poggouras to be a much better player than Chatziisaias. Chatziisaias has not impressed me much in PAOK's jersey. I only remember one good game against Olympiakos when we first got him. But then again I don't think he got that many chances to prove himself. Let's see how he does at Atromitos.

Vierinha has been in Thessaloniki for the past 3 weeks after his "injury" during the training camp with Wolfsburg.

You don't become a rich man throwing money at a problem. In the end I think Savvidis has a limit on how much he is willing to spend. He is a businessman and not a philanthropist. Earlier this year he injected around 7 mil Euro in order to cover the losses for the 2015-2016 accounting period and to get the ball rolling on transfers. Looking ahead so far he only sees expenses and big cut in revenue, including European competition revenue (around 6 mil), seven games without fan attendance as well as big fines as result of fan trouble (the cup came at a big price). Also television revenue is most likely lower than last season. Finally we only saw one player sale (Rodrigues), but spend big sums to sign players such as Limnios, Warda, Prijovic, Rey, Kaddouri, etc. I am not sure if I can believe the rumors of a 25 to 27 mil opening so far for the 2016-2017 fiscal year, but I am pretty sure it is much more than the opening for the 2015-2016 fiscal year.

The prospect of playing in a group stage of CL might be a good incentive. BTW we only owe 80% of Henrique. The 20% goes to Rennais. The only reason to part with Henrique is to be able to afford Vierinha. That's why PAOK is pushing to sell him to Qarabag instead of loaning him. Apparently we are in deep hole financially for this current season so far.

Michel confirmed that he is in negotiations with Qarabag concerning Henrique. I think we will see a lot of moves by PAOK in the next 3 days. Both coming and going.

Yes, but Niki Volos and Olympiakos Volos are threatening to take the "new" club and EPO to courts because they placed the team into 3rd division.

NFC Volos is a team that moved to Volos from another region. They used to be known as Pydna Kitrous. They were brought to Volos by the current city mayor Achilleas Beos.

It does not look right now that the games will be on Sport Plus in the USA/Canada and Australia. At least not according to their schedule on their web site. I contacted PAE PAOK asking them what's going on for the rights outside of Greece, and I got a reply that there will be an announcement concerning this on the team web site soon. We'll just have to wait and see.

Biseswar did not have a good game (but who did?), but with him on the field we at least had a little more possession in the midfield. Once he left the field everything collapsed.
