  2. That's good news. This will be a tough game. Hopefully we can win this one.
  3. Douvalidis dropped out of the European Championships due to injury.
  4. I don't think this new Conference League is going to be as easy competition as everyone thinks. You are still going to have teams from top European leagues. They might not be the top teams from those leagues, but still strong teams. There will teams similar to Granada that we faced last season, and we could not even score in the two games we played them.
  5. Tzolis is ok and is ready to play, however Andrija Zivkovic sustained an injury during practice and his participation will be decided tomorrow.
  6. That's why we will never accomplished anything as a national team going forward. Really sends a bad message to the players that really want to play for the national team consider it an honor to do so. Also if he really starts calling players such as Ninis, Mitroglou, Tzavellas than Schip is taking steps backward after making some progress recently.
  7. Here is the final squad: Άνδρες (φετ./ Ατ. If we don't take the competition seriously we will fail. Just noted that Slovan Bratislava will also play in the competition and we all remember what happened last time we played them. Don't think we will reach quartefinals, but qualifying from the group stage should be a realistic goal. Also don't forget we will start the competition the first part of July, so if the team is not ready teams such as Ostersud can do some damage.
  9. Things are slowly shaping up for the upcoming European season. As things stand and assuming PAOK does not self destruct by finishing 5th in the Superleague, we will start the European campaign in the 2nd Qualifying Round of Conference League. Early indication on possible opponents can be seen in the following spreadsheet: https://onedrive.live.com/view.aspx?resid=4FE4712A1E3EA4FA!301&ithint=file%2Cxlsx&authkey=!AI0j65LlMWkMofc
  10. Tsiggaras was solid in the last few games that he was called upon to play. Big test for him will be the games against Aris and Panathinaikos going forward to the playoffs.
  11. I really hope that it's not the case. I will lose any respect that Schip gained as a coach of the NT.
  12. The four don't have to reach the qualifying limits. Their participation depends on rankings in the particular events after absences of qualified athletes are announced. Looking at the team I expect two medals for Greece (Tentoglou and Papachristou)
  13. That is the most likely lineup. It appears that El Kaddouri will probably not get much playing time going forward as he is refusing to agree to a contract extension. I am also waiting for the day when Kagawa gets a start and if Warda keeps his cool as a result.
  14. As expected Schwab will sit this one out due to cards. He will be joined by Ingason. Remains to be seen if Tzolis will play after his injury.
  15. To kick things off, some rumors are that we reached an agreement with NFC Volos for Tasos Douvikas, while other rumors claim that we are talking with Beos, but deal has not been signed yet. Taking onto account that the sure signing comes from the anti-PAOK Metrosport and also that apparently Tripoli owes 60% (?) of the player and is not part off any negotiations, I find it quite questionable that it is a done deal.
  16. I waited for pash to open his favorite topic, but could not wait any longer as transfer rumors and fake news are already in full swing.
  17. Eleni Polak in Pole Vault, Antigoni Drisbioti in 20 km Walk, and the men's Greek Water Polo national team qualified for the Tokyo Olympics. So far following Greek athletes have secured a spot in the Tokyo Olympics so far: Track & Field Miltos Tentoglou (long jump) Katerina Stefanidi (pole vault) Nikol Kyriakopoulou (pole vault) Paraskevi Papachristou (triple jump) Antigoni Drisbioti (20 km Walk) Eleni Polak (pole vault) Swimming Anna Doundounaki (100 m butterfly) Kristian Golomeev (50 m freestyle) Apostolos Christou (100 m backtsroke) Andreas Vazaios (200 m individual medley) Apostolos Papastamos (200m/400m individual Medley) Kostas Egglezakis (800 m Freestyle) 4x100 m Freestyle Relay (men) Sailing Vyronas Kokkalani (RSX) Giannis Mitakis (Finn) Vasilia Karachaliou (Radial) Pavlos Kagialis (470) Panagiotis Mantis (470) Maria Bozi (470) Rafailina Klonaridou (470) Katerina Divari (RSX) Rowing Maria Kyridou (Double Skif) Christina Bourbou (Double Skif) Shooting Anna Korakaki (10 pistol, 25 m pistol) Nikos Mavromatis (Skeet) Wrestling Maria Prevolaraki (53 kg) Cycling Polychronis Tzortzakis (road cycling) Christos Volikakis (track cycling) Fencing Dora Goundoura Water Polo - men Greek national team

  19. Our goal is to get the 15th spot. Catching Switzerland and Serbia makes no difference.
  20. What did Lambrou just miss?
  21. What a goal by Zivko
  22. Warda, Krmencik out Kagawa, Swiderski in
  23. Let's hope it's not serious.
  24. Lambrou to come in for Tzolis.
