  1. I guess it depends on the player. For example players like Varela and Crespo that are past their prime know that they will not be renewed no matter how they perform, so they just coast. Also players that are on loan to us seeing that the ship is sinking will not risk possible injuries.
  2. VS MATCHUP: P.A.O.K. 3. The defensive problem is not only because of our aging defensemen, it's also because of our slow midfield. On top of that at least half the players have their contracts expire at the end of the season. There is just no incentives for some of them to give their all on the pitch not knowing what the future holds for them. That is a problem created by the team management or better yet the lack of team management. Don't think there can be major clearance in January. Maybe 2 or 3 moves. The main thing that they need to do though is get serious about planning on building a new team in Summer of 2022.
  4. Did not deserve anything in this game. The team plays without passion and many players are not able to follow the tempo of the game. We tried to play in second half after we were down 3:1. There need to be drastic changes, and they need to start now.
  5. 2:1 halftime. Despite the "maimou" penalty, the Ionikos lead is deserved. Except for the goal we did not create anything else. Add to it our Swiss cheese defense and the loss in this game is deserved.
  6. Penalty for Ionikos and 2:1.
  7. Nice header after Taylor cross.
  8. Another pathetic display by the team so far.
  9. If that happened we would be in 1st place, and would have avoided the playoff round.
  10. Disagree. Punishment was harsh, specially the monetary fine, which as it stands is the heaviest fine ever levied in Greece. As for the game bans, I totally disagree with these bans as they punish the people that purchased season/game tickets (the majority of fans) and do not participate in violent actions. I am still waiting for a class action lawsuit in Greece by season ticket holders that are not able to attend games that they paid for. Don't care if Savvidis and co makes statements. I want them to get serious and eliminated the bad apples from attending the games. For starters people that do not have tickets should not be in the stadium. Also, thorough search of all fans entering the station. Also we will appeal the decision. I have a feeling the monetary fine will be reduced as a result.
  11. The fines for the Aris game are in: 4 games without fans (Lamia, Tripoli, AEL, Panaitolikos) € 193,500 fine Additionally the Greek government punished PAOK with a 1 game ban for gates 4 and 4A due to non-compliance with COVID restrictions. This ban will be served in the game with Lamia for which PAOK is already banned anyway.
  12. We finish in second place if PAOK wins, Slovan loses or ties PAOK ties, Slovan loses PAOK wins, Slovan wins (we run up the score to have better goal differential than Slovan) We fail to qualify if PAOK loses, Slovan loses* PAOK ties, Slovan ties PAOK wins, Slovan wins (we don't run up the score to have better goal differential than Slovan) * we can still qualify if that happens, but Slovan would need to lose by a bigger goal margin than us (2 goals or more) Example: we lose 1:0, Slovan loses 3:0)

  14. Hopefully this is the game that will turn things around. Just ahead of the important European game. As long as we score, we should be able to win this one.
  15. He better figure it out before the game with Lincoln. We might need to score 3 or more goals in that game.
  16. There is no excuse for not winning this game 3:0 and securing the qualification to the next round from today.
  17. Xeftiles. Very embarrasing.
  18. 0:0 halftime What an incompetent team. Can't create anything let alone score. I don't know how we are going to run up the score against Lincoln next week.
  19. 75:25 possession but nothing to show for it.
