Stefanidi finished 4th in pole vault with 4.60m. If you don't jump over 4.70m in these meets you can't really medal. And this indoor season she failed to reach that height. Nyfantopoulos took par in the semifinals of 60m and beat his SB again with 671 seconds, but was not enough to qualify to the finals. Karagianni, Pesiridou and Douvalidis all failed to qualify from the heats in the hurdles. Expect two medals tomorrow from Tentoglou and Karalis.

Sastre is serving his yellow card ban in this game, so most likely Kedziora will get a start. Five other players (Oliveira, Zivkovic, Schwab, Ingason, Koulierakis) carry 3 yellow cards into this game. If they are not carded in the remaining two regular season games, the cards are erased for the playoffs. If they are carded on Sunday, they will miss the game against Volos. If they are carded against Volos they will serve the ban in the playoffs.

Silver medal for Andrikopoulos in the triple jump with 16.58m. Quite surprising feat by the youngster. Tsiamis finished 7th with 16.39m. Merlos failed to qualify to the final with 2.14m. Emmanoulidi finished 8th in here semifinal heat with 7.34 seconds and failed to qualify to the final.

Quite surprised about the triple jumpers. Did not expect that. They will need to jump better tomorrow to get a good placement in the final.

In other transfer news, it looks like we are loaning Quagliata to Brazilian team Cuiaba for the rest of the season, with the player's salary being split 50-50 between PAOK and Cuiaba. Apparently there will be buyout clause set as part of the deal. BTW, Sidclay is currently playing for Cuiaba.

That's an excellent deal for a player that has not proven anything yet. He has not even played at the top level and only has handful of games with the senior squad. All he has going for him is the fame that he is talented. Koutsias has slowly become Tzolis number two. He is trying at any cost to leave the team for something better that is being pushed by his agents (father and uncle). Let's not forget that he extended his contract in the summer for 300K per season, but with clause that he will be loaned out. He had no intentions of trying to win a spot in the senior squad. Let's hope he does very well with the Fire and we can get some benefits from the resale clause. I just hope that they place additional clause in the negotiations with Chicago Fire that the player can't be sold to another Greek team. I might even get my fat ass out and attend some Fire games this season.
