I was pretty happy with this game. Some dumb mistakes, but the team was much better put-together than before. I am not particularly bothered by our CBs - I hope this is our core, long-term. They have a lot more to offer than the old guard. -edit- tho I'll note that Mihaj's tendency to boot the ball out of play instead of just passing to our GK is very concerning. Shows poor awareness.

Makes me wonder if Soares is one of the players that will be cut during the winter transfer window. Perhaps there's hope yet for Lyratzis. Though I doubt it.

Here's what I see on wiki. Regarding our London-based friend's weirdly disapproving tone - UEFA has been feeling the pressure from teams to increase what's paid out, and that would have only been exacerbated by the "Super League" debacle from a few months ago. If anything, this confirms that UEFA was shortchanging the also-rans all this time.

Looks like this match day's good results have left Greece in 19th place.
