  1. I thought I knew this guy's name, but must be thinking of another Leal. This guy doesn't have that impressive of a resume. 250k to break a contract, though, is at least pretty cheap...
  2. Prijovic came on in the 66th minute for Serbia's draw (1-1) vs Wales Kace rode the bench for Albania's 0-3 win vs Israel (Israel, btw, had both Golasa and Natcho starting). -edit- Also, Prijovic set up Serbia's tying goal BEAUTIFULLY. The guy's a monster. Could possibly have scored off that play himself if he didn't stumble (good recovery to set it up for Mitrovic)
  3. Why? Those rumors are just something to talk about. Michel isn't going to pop onto this forum and go "oh yeah, good point, I'll get him and stop looking for a coach."
  4. Still linked with the GK Boyko (surely this will happen?): https://www.transfermarkt.com/denys-boyko/profil/spieler/91931 Also reading of some interest with Pedro Rebocho, a LB: https://www.transfermarkt.com/pedro-rebocho/profil/spieler/197860
  5. Milos Kosanovic noted today as well, though he only moved a year and a half ago to Standard Liege (who paid 2.5mm for him). I doubt he'll come cheap, as he still has two years on his contract (though he's only played 17 times): https://www.transfermarkt.com/milos-kosanovic/profil/spieler/65521
  6. The above presupposes that Ivic is being let go, but I think it's very much the opposite.
  7. They probably just want to buy time before they name a replacement. Or Ivic is vacillating on his choice. The Greek media not knowing what's going on is just par for the course.
  8. ^ That's in their hands. I look forward to seeing them back and throwing bottles of piss just as much as the next guy.
  9. Seems Iraklis might just stay up after all...
  10. We shouldn't have any trouble with any of these guys (obviously), but let's hope we get someone from a country whose coefficient threatens Greece's. Every little bit helps.
  11. Pereyra coming back to Greece soon, to discuss his future. I wish we'd just make a decision on this guy. Unfortunately no coach seems to like him, even though he's clearly one of our most talented players. Also saw a mention of this guy as a potential transfer: https://www.transfermarkt.com/andras-marton/profil/spieler/426569 Doesn't look that impressive to me, and is probably an unlikely event anyway. In my opinion, what we need is a starter-level, experienced guy. Of course, I doubt Michel will be making any moves until the new coach is decided.
  12. Sport24 reporting that Michel has a list of 50 names he's going through for coach. That's an improbably high number. Supposedly, they want someone who has an offensive focus. In a separate article, they note these two names, both of whom will be off contract this summer: Thomas Christiansen - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thomas_Christiansen - just finished a one-year stint at APOEL (coached AEK Larnaca for two years before that). A 44 year-old former stiker, Danish. Likely would be comfortable coaching in Greece. No trophies won yet. Serhiy Rebrov - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serhiy_Rebrov - been the coach of Dynamo Kiev since 2014. A 42-year-old former striker, Ukranian. Judging by Michel's past transfer decisions, I would not be surprised if this guy is the frontrunner. Looks to have the more impressive resume, both in terms of teams coached and as a player. As manager, won their league twice and two cups (in addition to their Super Cup, which seems like a very minor trophy).
  13. Cimirot is much better than any midfielders we will be playing. Bosnia's team is not super league quality, they have shown that repeatedly. This is going to be a very hard game.
  14. Big move for him, great job
  15. I also heard that Ivic might have been secretly planning a move to Olympiakos himself ;) Man, we PAOK fans sure are catty
  16. InPAOK put up a comparison between Rodrigues and Henrique for this season. Some pretty interesting numbers: Pedro Henrique: 1,189 minutes played, 5 goals, 4 assists Gary Rodrigues: 1,742 minutes played, 6 goals, 8 assists Considering that Henrique came in without a preseason/prior experience with his coworkers...that's not half bad. If he can learn how to track back and control his temper, he'll have a great 2017-18 season.
  17. Decent length for the vacation. Only Glykos and Mistakidis should still be out by that point
  18. Michel doesn't strike me as the kind of TD that wants a puppet for a coach. Tudor very clearly was there so Arnesen would have complete control.
  19. He'll be our #1 again by December, mark my words.
  20. In an ideal world, selling players for what they're worth and replacing them with better players is what every team would do...
  21. There's a chance they'll keep Brkic, if only because finding two acceptable GKs might be hard. Unless we recall Melissas, who I doubt we will - he's only played nine times this year.
  22. I absolutely agree. We already have him, he actually cares about his performances, he's not expensive...too bad we'll need someone new anyway, unless Michel thinks Brkic is redeemable and Siampanis is good enough to give him a challenge as starter.
  23. Reportedly, Shakhtar was interested in Shakhov. Hopefully there's not much to this rumor. I think we'll make some serious cash off of him after next season.
  24. ^also was announced today that he won the player's player of the year award
  25. Ivic was awful, he only accomplished two out of the three goals the team had for this year.
