Agreed on Shakhov. I can't help but like the guy. It'll be interesting to see which of him or Canas gets a renewal. I also like the shift towards younger players. We got our mercenary core, now we can start to replace them with the longer-term prospects - but gradually!
-
Makes sense. Can't lose any more midfielders when we are down to 2.5 of them. Canas, incidentally, is training individually as he recovers (not sure what his injury was).
-
Misic may have changed his mind as he is expected in Thessaloniki (loan + buy clause) very soon. I may be wrong about the Polish kid not choosing us as well, as some reports indicate they moved up his arrival from Friday to tonight (and Savvidis has been responding to posts on insta confirming as well). El Kaddouri is hopefully on his way out: https://inpaok.com/525549/thelo-na-epistrepso-sti-serie-a/ <-- hopefully we don't buy another two or three wingers to replace him.
-
Sounds like Swiderski may have offers (or at least interest) from Genoa and Stuttgart as well. Can't see us beating them for this signature, but we'll see.
-
And we have that Markovsky kid as well
-
I don't know who is more of an MVP, you or the animal that maintains that forum!
-
What is Varela making now? And yes, the Savvidis family made their bed, now they need to sleep in it. Sounds like they'll be eating fasolia for a while after this winter.
-
TRIPLE is pretty intense. And...what's up with the transfer bonus? Like, what even is that? Haha These guys smell blood now that Prijovic is gone. They know there's money flowing. If Varela really has an offer from the UK, it'll be hard to keep him. Is it possible that Kacheridi might come out on top next summer???
-
Bonatini offer by Wolves: 4 million euros for 60% of the player's contract. That's a huge gulf vs what we should pay, and MASSIVELY overvalues the player. Sounds like we're gonna go for that Romanian guy that Lucescu liked a while back.
-
Bonatini's transfer won't progress until Wolves get a replacement for him, it seems. Fortunately that means Akpom and Karelis have a chance to impress. Warda apparently cancelled a meeting in regards to joining Atromitos because now he wants to talk to PAOK's administration regarding his...future? I'm assuming this is in regards to foreign teams buying him. Personally, I'd say if we get him for 2mm plus 10%, that would be fair enough. Just to get him out of our hair. That's assuming the Turks are still willing to pay knowing that he wants out.
-
I am just such a positive person, it hurts me ?
-
Does anyone here ever like any moves we make?!
-
Considering what they paid for him, I did expect us to have to pay to take him on loan. Pretty wild how fast fortunes can turn when you get bought after a successful loan spell. Not dissimilar from what happened to Stafylidis.
-
The thing about that El Kaddouri run is, the best part of it was how he got past the defender - and they didn't show it in the gif!!!!
-
Yeah I'm not sure how that affects the automatic subsequent suspension. I thought it was 4 cards before you had to choose one, and if you went over before you served, that you'd be out another guaranteed. Not sure if that's overridden by the red card though. I would assume two games.
-
If we're gonna talk about my fantasies even more (which I'm forcing you all to read) - while I like Tosca well enough, I'd love for our LB lineup to be Giannoulis/Stafylidis. If he sits on the bench for the rest of this season, his club will eventually have to budge on that price.
-
It is very important that players have a good understanding with each other. Similar to the idea of people really WANTING to play for the team (Henrique) - this is an intangible that pays dividends as a season goes on. I do wonder if Hatziisaias will make it to the club next season. I doubt it, as Savvidis will get a hard on for another Russian guy at some point. My hope is that we retain Varela + Crespo, get rid of Kacheridi, let Malezas retire (much as I love him), and bring back Mihojevic and Hatziisaias. This is not confirmation, but:
-
It was a thing of beauty!
-
YEAH POST PICTURES OF HIM BEING A MEANIEEE YEAHHHH
-
I agree about Akpom, though I think Karelis would also be suited to this game. They both have similar enough styles, and Karelis has that Campos-style ability to muscle his way through defenders. Definitely a game of two halves, it was pretty nerve wracking at the beginning.
-
That was a great (successful) attempt to keep the ball in by El Kaddouri a minute ago. Limnios should have scored
-
Hahahaha now THERE is a goal!
-
Aaaand now to hold on for dear life.
-
It sounds like Shakhov really needs to come off. Balogiannis is warming up. This is a good time to put him in.
-
F*** YEAH great goal by Mauricio, better setup by Biseswar!
