100% Mitsara we need him on the wing. I wouldn't mind Pelkas playing as well. We need the best players possible. With Fetfatzidis and Holebas out of the picture, we need our best.
-
Lazaros has scored 6 goals in 5 games he is probably in the best form in his career. Mantalos doing well also. If Lazaros doesn't get picked then we are doomed. Clearly his set pieces are very good. If Mitroglou doesn't play next week we are also doomed. We haven't got a good enough striker to play against Cyprus. Maybe Christodoulopoulos and Bakasetas play up front.
-
Christodoulopoulos will be called up. I have a feeling. For those who say Galanopoulos should be called up, I don't think it's time to. Androutsos will be the future and so will Manthatis. What Skibbe has to realize is: 1. Why we didn't score against Estonia? 2.What subs should he have done in the both the last matches? 3. Who is the weak link in the team? 4. Who needs to be called up and who needs to be dropped? 5. What I need to find out about the opposition and how am I going to set up the team. 6. Does Lazaros need to play right wing because of the form he is in and the experience he has. 7. Should Fortounis start every single match. 8. Is it time to play Tachtsidis and Bouchalakis and drop Tziolis? 9. Do I play 2 strikers instead of against Cyprus. 10. Does Donis need a free role where he can roam around and create chances? I would manage this team better in my opinion because I know what is needed and what is not. If Skibbe is asking at least half these questions we should be fine. The first 2 questions are more essential. Number 8 and 10 are experimental or my way of fixing the team. The defence system is working, I wouldn't fiddle around by being too ambitious and asking to play higher up and passes forward. But we need to win our last 2 games or else we will miss out on another tournament.

I wouldn't mind if he was coach. Attacking style dosent suit us but I would like to see more attacking football. Btw has anyone heard from 1789. He was a terrific poster.

Is Ange Postecoglou leaving the Socceroos?

https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1901265150194751&id=1598480473806555 AEK have been doing a good job with playing Greek talent I'd like to see the other 3 big teams do the same.

If we are all saying it then it's obvious he does.
-
How is he overweight? He looks fine he still is talented to be in this team. Tziolis gets picked but Fetfatzidis doesn't, it doesn't make sense. Also I just saw PAOK Vs Levadiakos in the cup and Pelkas has a lot of work to do in regards to finishing my goodness. Koulouris aswell. Deligiannidis looked alright and so did Limnios. Limnios can take on players but needs to work on his finishing, not as bad as Pelkas though.

Did Skibbe talk about Fetfatzidis at all?
-
This is what should happen against Cyprus: Karnezis Torosidis. Manolas. Sokratis Tzavellas Tachtsidis Samaris Zeca. Stafylidis Donis. Mitroglou Notice how deep the defensive midfielders are. This gives us protection in defence and also having Zeca who is a workhorse to track back and help Torosidis and then help going forward in attack. Stafylidis also works hard and likes to run. He also has a lethal shot. I would bench Fortounis and Mantalos and play Donis who plays well as second striker. I would instruct him to drop deeper and collect the ball and free up space in attack. Subs can be: Gianniotas, Fortounis and maybe Lazaros if we need goals.
-
I agree Boxou. We have Stafylidis improving and becoming a real threat at left back/wing. Fortounis is decent. Retsos is a young prospect and Donis looks like the saviour that we are looking for. Karelis is returning from injury. The thing is Mitroglou is our only hope of producing goals. Fortounis goes missing at times and Mantalos is not cut out for the wing. Gianniotas is a real winger and I keep thinking we are sabotaging ourselves by not playing him. He is similar to Fetfatzidis. We need to start putting emphasis on our attacking players, also especially our midfield the number 6 and 8 positions. Fortounis and Mantalos have the 10 position along with maybe Pelkas as the back up. But the number 6 position is important as Tziolis is not good enough. There's players like Spanoudakis and Mourgos who have talent and they are only 17-18.

http://m.contra.gr/Soccer/Hellas/Superleague/olympiacos/o-xasi-kalese-toys-vasikous-sto-grafeio-toy-kai-eixe-logo.4852812.html The photo looks funny ... looks like Androutsos is saying to himself Im going to take your position now while smiling in the background ....while Fortounis is getting yelled at by the coach
-
Fetfatzidis should be in the team no doubt. It doesn't take a genius to realize that. Whether he has a bad attitude or not he could be a useful tool off the bench. Tziolis is useless, at least Katsouranis and Karagounis provided leadership and talent.
-
I agree if I was coach I would put Lazaros for sure based on his form. I would also slowly integrate the likes of Androutsos, Galanopoulos and Manthatis if they are getting some game time. I would play Tachtsidis ahead of any of our CDMs. Tziolis would not be called up. Even if he is experienced. I feel more confident in Tachtsidis.
-
I remember when everyone was saying that he shouldn't be playing because he has a bad touch and makes stupid decisions. Now, I don't know if he will be any different but he's does look good and is inform.
-
I don't know but Hasi better think of something.
-
Ninis is playing in Israel. Kone hasn't started for AEK yet. I'd like to see them back in the team. I'm not sure if they are on the decline or if they are the same players say from 4 years ago.
-
Many people have said he's trying to get a passport. I wouldn't mind him in the team but I want this team to be as Greek as possible.
-
My following wish list is: Pelkas Fetfatzidis Bouchalakis Androutsos Kone Lazaros Bakakis I believe that if these players play regularly in this team we will produce goals. I really like to see Limnios and Manthatis but they need more matches under their belt. Retsos is not really needed at the moment. Our problem are the wingers. The above list is more like favourites, but I believe they can make something happen. If you think about Bakakis can replace Torosidis. Pelkas can be pushed on the right wing, but I think Skibbe will use Zeca or Mantalos there. Donis is on the left. That's where Lazaros can play, also Fetfatzidis. So already you've got depth on the left wing. Stafylidis can play there also but is needed at left back. Bouchalakis can Tziolis job but better. I believe that Samaris is not at fault. It doesn't make sense that Tachtsidis and Gianniotas don't get to play, I know they havent played matches but what is the excuse for playing Tziolis and Maniatis at the time when they had no clubs? Also calling out of form players like Diamantakos and Bakasetas don't make sense. The only thing that makes sense is that Skibbe wants to have a closed club mentality. Skibbe is doing a good job but his personnel are wrong He is sabotaging our chances. Tziolis is defensive minded I get it. But the Estonia match was needed for a player like Tachtsidis who knows how to play forward. Playing him against Belgium made no sense but I get it because Papadopoulos and Retsos were injured, Tachtsidis was 50/50 and Kourbelis was injured. I don't believe Kourbelis can provide anything also. I believe more in Samaris, Tachtsidis, Siopis, Bouchalakis, Papadopoulos, Zeca and Maniatis.
-
That would be the ideal line up. Especially with Donis and Fetfa on either wing. I saw the ratings, they haven't shown all players yet. But so far they seem fair. Fortounis should have been 77. Stafylidis should be 77.
-
I really don't know why he doesn't.
-
Just have a look at this... This is Fetfa now... Without a doubt we need him in the team. He plays regularly, scores, mostly assists, only 26 and he is the only one who can help off the bench.

Cyprus vs. Greece ( 7 October 2017, GSP Stadium, Nicosia )
Dean97 replied to Greekaroos's topic in Greek National Teams
Pelkas is good. Mantalos scored a psalidi, and he was playing central. Fortounis and Samaris can do more, we rely on them. Mitroglou and Donis work well together. Tziolis provides no attacking threat and was on the decline since 2011. Maniatis can run and run but his passing let's him down big time as well as his control. Tachtsidis is a well rounded midfielder but he is slow. These are all things Skibbe needs to take into account.
