Yeah but Lazaros is fantastic. Lazaros was really useless today. No technique and 1 dimensional. Some bad touches sane goes for Torosidis. I'd rather have Donis on the wing. Donis is not useless though. The last 2 nt games he has played he hasn't delivered. But every other time he literally carried the team. In my opinion he is unlucky to have not scored yet for the nt.

Lazaros had a poor match today. He is poor technically and that is the reason why he was so bad. Torosidis should of came on as a sub in the last 10 minutes. He should be a sub player and that's it. Tzavellas was at fault for both goals. Weak defender.

We should put Bakakis at LB.

I agree we need him in the 2nd half. Pelkas shot was saved well. Donis needs to get involved more. Maybe Laza upfront and Donis wide.

That's a huge blow. Now its a matter of which position would get the most out of Donis. On the wing I believe he would be more involved. We need him involved. I don't want him to get lost at striker. I would go with Koulouris upfront. We can then have Donis and Lazaros on the wings. I'm feeling as if Koulouris will score for us somehow. Id like Pelkas to also play. So if Donis goes upfront then Pelkas goes wide. Donis will be key in the next match.

Interesting comments all round. When Donis is at his best he is our best attacking player. With in form Fortounis and Donis alongside we can be very dangerous. Pelkas should be in this team no doubt. I believe Pelkas could be better than Fortounis and Mantalos. That's a big statement I know. But I am seeing things in Pelkas that are vital for this team. Did anyone see in the last minute of the 1st half what he did? Estonia had a corner in our box and somehow in a blink of an eye he took the ball from the Estonian and ran the whole field like he was going to score by himself until the defender caught up with him. I like seeing things like that and I believe only he and Donis can do that unexpectedly. I like how Fortounis is playing now. Dropping in and collecting the ball. Making good passes. In that one on one he had I believe he made the safer or better option to shoot but I think he could have played that pass as he knew Pelkas was their. It would have been risky on the angle though.

I feel confident for the Hungary match. If we play like we did against Estonia we should be fine. We need to add more goals though. Kourbelis looked good today. He must start from now on. With Galanopoulos next to him our midfield improves. Bouchalakis needs to do better, but I'd rather him than Tziolis. Lykogiannis I think had an off day. I'm with @Rockafeller Skank about Pelkas. Give him more opportunities and you will see the best of him. Mantalos is a smart player but he shouldn't be on the wing. Fortounis scored so he will start again. I wonder if Skibbe will play Lazaros or Donis. I like Donis more because of his pace and his willingness to take the ball all the way. We all know Skibbe should leave and that he is not a good manager but we should be grateful that we won. No draw, no loss, just a win. I don't know what he sees In Bakasetas, Tziolis and so on but a win is all I ask for. Things can be better thats for sure but I'll take a win over anything.

Does everyone agree that Bakasetas is useless? He did nothing when he came on. Fetfatzidis is way more talented and should have been called up instead of him. Limnios and Gianniotas are more talented as well. Even Koulouris who came on for 5 mins looked better. He is becoming Tziolis level and that's bad. We played well and we could have scored more. Bakasetas can't play on the wing, striker and is not good enough to play 10. Why is he there? What does Skibbe see in him apart from a good shot? He has nothing else and is slow.

I agree we should have scored more and could have. But this was a very positive performance. Precise passing, movement and hustle. I want to see the same again but with more goals. We should play Donis next game.

I'll take this result. But my god why do we only win by 1 nearly all the time. Fortounis played great reminds me of a few years ago. Could have scored more. Torosidis I thought was good. Did his best. But is not the same player he used to be. Lykogiannis is a bit slow but did well and grew solid. Mantalos and Pelkas did OK on the wing. Kourbelis was very good sigh his passing. Our midfield looked stronger today. Bouchalakis is better than Tziolis for all those that want to compare them 2. The only thing that Tziolis did good was that pass to Fortounis. Donis should of came on instead of Bakasetas.

That's what I think too about Bouchalakis. He joins the attack when needed and can pop in a goal unexpectedly. You don't see that with Samaris and that's what we need now in the national team. I don't mind either of Kourbelis or Bouchalakis starting in this game, I just don't want Tziolis to start.

Skibbe is a big fan of Mantalos, so i see him starting. I dont get how he dosent trust Kourbelis yet. Bouchalakis has only been in form the past 3 weeks. Kourbelis has been constant for 2 years.

Well at least Tzavellas and Tziolis are not starting. Why is Mantalos picked over Pelkas and Lazaros? Anyway this lineup is better than what I had pictured.

Pelkas is better centrally, but he can play on the wing. He is better suited there than Mantalos and Bakasetas. Does anyone else know who else could have picked instead of Tziolis? Samaris and Tachtsidis haven't played for their clubs and Galanopoulos has to play for the u21s. I can't think of anyone else who o should be In the team instead of Tziolis. This is a problem but I find a bigger problem at ST. As Mitroglou ages on we don't seem to have a real replacement. These are 2 things that need to be sorted out.

That is correct. But I suggest you re read what I said. I never said they were comparable. I meant it as in when Karagounis and Katsouranis played they were the older experienced players that contributed more and still had something to give. Tziolis has nothing of substance to give and Tzavellas is a has been. We might as well mark Sokratis, Torosidis and Karnezis as the experienced players and and give the younger more talented players a chance instead of Tziolis and Tzavellas.

I expect to see this. Karnezis Bakakis Manolas Sokratis Tzavellas Zeca Kourbelis Lazaros. Fortounis Donis Mitroglou Pelkas, Lykogiannis and Koulouris to come on. Bakakis only has a small injury and could play on the weekend. I don't who should start between Pelkas and Fortounis. Pelkas has impressed me a lot the past couple of weeks. If Tziolis starts then we might as well turn off the TV.

Donis, Pelkas, Fetfatzidis, Manthatis, Tsimikas, Androutsos, Manolas and so on. There are players that are fast. Some very fast like Donis. Skibbe should understand who he has in the talent pool. Tsimikas and Galanopoulos would have been called up if it weren't for u21 duty. Androutsos is a player that should be in this team but hasn't had many games under his belt. Alefantos once said his best position is the number 8 and that he would benefit the national team by playing him their. Why aren't the interviewers asking why Tziolis and Tzavellas got called up? Tzavellas is understandable because we have injuries their. But even then I'd rather someone else. They provide experience and I get that. But we all see how they sabotage our in game play. Karagounis and Katsouranis were older but still provided more. Even Maniatis is a better option. Tziolis is 32 and is playing like a 42 year old. His experience doesn't benefit us as much as Karagounis did or Katsouranis.

Me too. He has potential and we should keep an eye on him. I hope he progresses this season to the point where he could be considered an option on the wing for the national team.

Although i do agree we need a better 6 and 8, there is nothing wrong in Kourbelis as the 6 and Zeca as the 8. Zeca is a workhorse and Kourbelis is a destroyer. They are our best options right now. That Bouzoukis kid looks good. So does most of the PAO youth. But its not their time yet. If Skibbe is thinking of playing Tziolis as the 6, i say sack him right after the game. He should be sacked for even calling him up. Right now though Kourbelis deserves to start over Bouchalakis.
