Even when Fortounis was in the line JVS would utilize him wrong. Here is the most embarrassing stat i have heard so far, Since this campaign started Greece have less then 10 shots on target and ONLY San Marino has less and we have played 2 out of our 3 games against Kosovo and Georgia. Its like JVS changed his entire philosophy of holding the ball and attacking and instead decided to play like we were the underdogs. Who the F*** sits back against Kosovo and Georgia what's wrong with him. We should have been pressing and allowed Kosovo to stay high and take chances and we would have exposed them for another goal but instead we sat back like scared little girls trying to protect as if we were playing Spain. And for the record I'm not excusing our players they were absolutely s%$#! but when you have such a limited talent pool how you keep Manolas and Siovas who are better then anyone we have who would have prevented this goal and the Georgia breakdown when we had the lead out of the line up is mind blowing. I was defending JVS i Liked what I saw early on but now I'm at the point where i want him no where near this dreadful team anymore.

I'm so disgusted in this joke of a team. We did not deserve to win this game at all. This is where we belong with the Kosovo's and the Georgia's of the world we don't belong any higher in our current state. JVS needs to lose his job as this was a dreadful performance, he always has the team playing scared and when he saw Kosovo coming he did nothing of any significance to change it up. This f***ing team cant even keep it competitive until the last games of the qualifier as we are now 3 games in with 3 draws and we are eliminated from the world Cup. We shouldn't be surprised at all we are just garbage with a a garbage coach who showed some promise when he first came in. Another qualifier and we are out before we even get to the halfway point. Does it really matter that we got put in a difficult group with Sweden and Spain when we got outplayed by Georgia and Kosovo and could only manage a draw??? Just go back from 2014 and look at the s%$#! groups we've had between the qualifiers and the nations league nothing has changed.

How do you play a half like that and not make any changes to start the 2nd.

We are sooooooo lucky we did not deserve to be up in this game but ill take it. Even though we scored the way we played was an absolute embarrassment. The last thing we need now is for JVS to have everyone sit back.

This is painful to watch what a complete s%$#! show. No passing, no control give away after give away and all they are doing is trying to feed along ball into one player that's covered by 2-3 players.

30 minutes in against a minnow in a must win game and we look like s%$#! sitting back, not one attack not one shot. Absolutely embarrassing. They deserve what they get.

Man he's got them starting like he did against Georgia staying deep and not pressing allowing kosovo to dictate the play.

I know some guys on here will disagree with me but in my opinion If Greece come out and get anything less then 3 points then JVS needs to be removed. The way he had the team playing scared against Georgia and his decision making in that MUST win game was a complete embarrassment, so for me his job is on the line with this game.

Tzolis officially ruled out for Sunday. I guess we shouldn't be surprised.

I agree it looks very bleek but by some chance we get out of September with 6 points we are right back in the mix.

In order for us to get in we need the following IMO, This doesn't look good for us. But for now we can only take it one game at a time and it needs to start with a MUST win against Kosovo if we lose or draw then there's no point even looking forward as it will be over. 2 Wins Against Kosovo - 6pts 1 Win Against Georgia - 3pts 2 Wins Against Sweden - 6pts we may be able to lose or draw against Spain.

If that's how it plays out then the game against Sweden will be our do or die game as we need to beat them no matter what if we want to give ourselves a chance going into October and November. Its going to be extremely difficult.

With our current setup we are not beating Sweden or Spain so I agree with @Ellada2004JVS needs to do something regarding Manolas and Siovas or we will get shredded. We are not in the same class as both those teams so leaving our our better players is just stupid at this point.

Sweden beating Spain 2-1 right now is the worst thing that can happen to us as a Sweden victory will make it next to impossible for us to qualify.

Just watched a replay of the game. Some good things and some bad things. The wingers of the other teams seem to give our defenders a lot of problems on a regular basis and we need to address that ASAP. Also i will give the team a pass as we are missing some players and some of the guys playing don't have full playing time with there club teams. In saying that if we don't get 3 points against Kosovo its a complete failure and JVS job may be on the line as it will once again be ANOTHER failed tournament. Mavropanos was terrible in my opinion and It seems like JVS is going to live and die with Bakasetas as his main go to guy. Manolas and Siovas would make this team so much better and stop us from those mental breakdowns that occur for us regularly but unfortunately JVS has ruined that from happening.

If we lose to Kosovo then this game won’t matter anyways. But I agree anything less then 6 points in our next two games ends our hopes completely.

Looks like the trend continues right before qualifying games for us, as now on top of Fortounis and Tzolis we just lost Masouras and Galanopoulos to injuries and they will also not join the NT. This juts keeps getting worse and worse for us.

Tzolis out for 3 weeks with calf injury will not join the National Team.

This is what i would go with as well but unfortunately just like @kbxk508 said i cant see how Bakasetas stays out of this line up which is just ridiculous at this point that he's an automatics starter and taking a spot from a more talented player in his position.

I figured since we are less then a couple weeks away I would start this new thread. We don't need to stress the Importance of this game as anything less then a win would be a complete failure. Hopefully the call ups are announced soon.

Its going to be very difficult that draw against Georgia might have ended our chances. Spain and Sweden looked pretty good at the Euros. Dropping points against Kosovo or Georgia will end our campaign as i cant see Sweden or Spain dropping points to those teams.
