I see 4 medals for Greece Stefanidi is a lock for sure, only competitor threatening her is Sidorova Papachristou is currently leading Europe this season (14.74) and looks like in fine form, should medal Tentoglou is second in Europe (8.24), he should get his first senior medal after months of improvement Belibasaki is 7th in the 400 m (51.14), she is capable of reaching the finals and maybe medal. She proved in the World Indoor Championship she can compete in the 400. If I have to pick 2 Greek athletes who may surprise us it's both Spanoudaki and Anastasakis

Nice, he still has a few good years left in him.
-
If only PAOK had not conceded that away goal, 2-0 would put them in great shape.
-
Both clubs can advance with a simple 1-0 win at home.

Greece ended the 2018 Balkan Championship with 22 medals (8 gold, 9 silver, 5 bronze)
-
Voula Papachristou broke her personal best today in the Balkan Championship in Bulgaria with a mark of 14.74 and win gold in the competition. She is officially tops in all of Europe this season.
-
Nikolaos Sakis finished 10th in the men's 3000 m steeplechase. Was hoping he would break the 9 minute barrier.
-
In the 10,000 km race walk, Georgios Tzatzimakis finished 11th place. It was a great showing as he pointed out he wanted to finish in the top 12.

Antonios Merlos won gold for Greece in the Men's high jump! What a performance for the ages! 2.23 was the winning height and his new personal best. Roberto Vilches of Mexico also won gold resulting in getting identical stat with Merlos.

Aris Dritsas fails to qualify in the men's 400 m hurdles, finishing 6th in the semi-finals with a time of 52.38
-
Andreas Pantazis fails to qualify in the men's triple jump by not getting a mark. What else is new for some Greek athletes? The Greek men's 4 x 100 relay team failed to qualify for the finals, finishing 6th place with a time of 40.78
-
Antonios Merlos barely qualifies for the men's high jump finals with a height of 2.12

I got up around 4 am in the morning to follow the men's hammer throw qualification at the IAAF Under 20 World Championship on live stream. This Greek hammer thrower from Chania, Crete came into the competition with a world lead 81.32 m for all Under 20 hammer throwers (6 kg). He is the heavy favorite to medal (possibly gold). Just as I watched him throw, he has some serious flaws. He has fouled on each of his 3 throws. This is not the first time he was bowed out from qualification without a mark. The same happen last year in the Under 20 European Championship. He has so much upside in his game with raw power, yet he cracks under pressure in major junior competitions. Honestly, he is the most overrated Greek athlete in all track and field and I don't care if he is 18 years old. Stavroula Kosmidou (age 16) performs way better than him and doesn't hit the nettings so often on her releases. I wasted my morning to watch this crap!

Christos Frantzeskakis has to be one of the worst young Greek athlete in today's track and field. He leaves the competition without a mark and fails to qualify for the finals. This is not the first time he cracks in major junior competitions (Happened in 2017 Under 20 European Championship). He led the world for U 20 hammer throwers with 81.32, and he will not get a medal. Un-f***ing-believeable!
-
Odysseas Mouzenidis won bronze medal by breaking a Greek national Under 20 record with a throw of 21.07. Bravo!
-
Odysseas Mouzenidis qualifies for the finals with a throw of 20.36.
-
I forgot to mention Miliaras in the men's 1500 m
-
The IAAF World Under 20 Championship will begin on Tuesday, July 10 starting with Mouzenidis in men's shot put, Adamopoulou in women's pole vault, and Anagnostou in men's 10000m.
