  1. Pesiridou wasn't able to finish her race as she stumble on a hurdle and hurt herself.
  2. Spanoudaki didn't make it out of the heat as she finished with a time of 7.40 Belibasaki did however with a time of 52.27 (her personal best), in the semifinals she will have to finish the top 2 spots to qualify for the finals.
  3. Spanoudaki will be running in Heat 5 of the 60 m, she has a long shot in qualifying for the semifinals. First 3 in each heat goes through along with the 6 fastest. Belibasaki is running in Heat 1 with other 4 other sprinters in the 400 m. She has a great chance to reach the semifinals. First 2 in each heat goes through along with the 6 fastest. Pesiridou is running in heat 1 of the 60 m hurdles. She has a decent chance to advance depending if she can finish in the top 4 for automatic spot or get one of the 4 fastest times as a 5th place finisher. I wish them all the best!
  4. The high jump performance from either genders we're very disappointing. Both Russians won gold. The others who got silver and bronze barely jump over 2 heights. We miss the good old days of Stefka Konstadinova or Javier Sotomayor.
  5. Dick's Sporting Goods now are banning guns in there stores. Seems like an interesting move.
  6. bahahahaha the toliet paper jokes doesn't get old
  7. You guys know what happen to Juventus when they we're caught in the p o u s t i a, Olympiakos need a lesson from that one in Italy.
  8. Klaous, I support Olympiakos, I don't homer my club like Attilio or ThrylosG7 does and get too defensive when the club gets criticized for doing things that are hurtful for the Greek League. Every year Olympiakos can't win championships like it's nonchalant. No, I am very outspoken of the crappy owner we got and a terrible coaching staff. They are hitting rock bottom and they need to be punished badly so the club can change for the better and start from the bottom up. I will not cry if they don't win another championship in 5 to 10 years or play in UEFA competitions for a while.
  9. Tentoglou and Karalis are in the finals, they got in by IAAF standards. Here is the lineup for the event for the Greek athletes (Central Time) Friday, March 2 4:35 am - (Spanoudaki) Women's 60 m Heats 6:10 am - (Belibasaki) Women's 400 m Heats 12:05 pm - (Pesiridou) Women's 60 m Hurdles Heats 1:35 pm - (Tentoglou) Men's Long Jump Saturday, March 3 5:00 am (Papachristou) Women's Triple Jump 12:00 pm (Stefanidi) Women's Pole Vault 12:30 pm (Douvalidis) Men's 60 m Hurdles Heats Sunday, March 4 9:00 am (Filippidis and Karalis) Men's Pole Vault If Belibasaki reaches the finals, she will compete on Saturday If Pesiridou reaches the semifinals, she will compete on Saturday If Douvalidis reaches the semifinals, he will compete on Sunday
  10. I for one have said that PAOK are the ones we love to see them win the Greek Championship. They have been by far the best club in Greece. Hands down!
  11. This better not end up like 2006-07, where the league handed Olympiakos points on a silver platter and screwed AEK in getting the Greek Championship. Otherwise, I will never support that team again.
  12. BostonThanatos, I fully agree with you on everything you said. I am ashamed of my club after what happened yesterday. Our owner and staff members should be put in the PIT OF MISERY. DILLY DILLY!
  13. Blackhawk, I think Papachristou and Filippidis would medal depending on how they perform and who are their competitors. Tentoglou and Karalis are very young and are not ready to medal at senior level yet. Spanoudaki and Belibasaki are making their debut in the IAAF World Indoor Championship. I notice that Maria Belibasaki has the 13th fastest time (52.28) among all the list of sprinters in the 400 m. I think she will surprise us, maybe reaching the finals.
  14. This is embarrassing, only in Greece where matches are forfeit due to towel papers deemed as "dangerous objects". LOL! Despite the fact I support Olympiakos, I really hope the league come down hard on Marinakis and those goons.
  15. What exactly happened? I realize the match was postponed?
  16. PAOK should win this match. Olympiakos are horrible this year. I will be pulling for you guys to win the Greek Superleague title. It's been since 1985 PAOK last won it.
  17. Heartbreaking, AEK played a great game and you are not rewarded with a win. That away goal was a killer.
  18. AEK is playing out of their minds, but man still no goal to show for it!
  19. Let's hope Spanoudaki doesn't get another false start like she did in Belgrade.
  20. Antoniou failed to finish in the men's slalom :(
  21. 9 Greek athletes will make the trip to Birmingham Men's Kostas Douvalidis - 60m hurdles Kostas Filippidis - Pole Vault Emmanouil Karalis - Pole Vault Miltiadis Tentoglou - Long Jump Women's Rafalia Spanadouki - 60m Maria Belibasaki - 400m Elisavet Pesiridou - 60m hurdles Voula Papachristou - Triple Jump Ekaterini Stefanidi - Pole Vault
