  1. Born in 1972. Which reminds me of a saying one of my soccer coaches used to say. "Ολα τα μαλακισμενα γενηθικαν το 72". Grew up in Springvale, Melbourne. Only moved to Brisbane 3 years ago but I still fly back to Melbourne for work every month or so, which is great because I get to eat Mum's cooking, which just gets better and better. Very woggy area back in those days. Probably 50% Greeks, Italians, Serbs and 50% Aussies. The Vietnamese came in force in the late 80's, early 90's and now they've taken over. It's sad to see but it is what it is. The Aussies probably said the same thing about us. To their credit, the Vietnamese work their asses off and don't take anything for granted. As to the kids of today, I get it. It's tricky. It's different for them again. At least we have some sort of chance of talking to them and hopefully being there and making a difference. WIth our generation the conversation was generally simpler. Don't bring home a girl unless she's Greek and "μακρια απο τα drugs".
  2. Can you post in every topic on the main board ? I know it's a lot of work, but I want to see that avatar EVERYWHERE! ;)
  3. Ha ha, you are a smarty pants. I didn't realize he did that well. Quite good considering he had patches where he would play 2-3 quiet games in a row.
  4. The vast majority of immigrants to Australia in the last 10 years are from India and China. If anything, Muslims would be part of the humanitarian intake but that's I think around 10% of the ~300K immigrants per year. And of that 10% not all are Muslims. There were a lot from Sudan as well. Maybe for the newer generation, but for us "oldies" life was simple. "English" school, Greek School, Greek Church, Greek Soccer Club, Greek Dancing School etc.
  5. I wasn't even thinking about the transfer cost. I don't think it would be too much as he hasn't been in the Fener starting 11 for a long time and they would probably be happy to (a) get him off their wage bill and (b) free up an internation slot. They only allow I think it's 6 international players in Turkey. If he came to us at say ~500K wages or less, I'd be happy to give him a go. But I can't see him agreeing to such a big drop in his wages. I don't care if we pay a player 5 million a year, but they need to perform proportionate to their wage. Yes, I'm looking at you Berbatov.
  6. He's an embarrassment to Larisa. Good luck finding any decent managers or players with Kougias having Tony Montana moments every month or so when he's on his rags.
  7. His wage at Fener is ~1.6 million plus bonuses. He wouldn't come cheap. Unless he can score 10 goals and 10 assists he isn't worth it. And he hasn't really played consistently in a long time.
  8. Tziolis looks quite dashing in that avatar, don't you think ? ;)
  9. And Klaus, who goes missing always.
  10. No idea. I'm hoping he's got a few G4 "xooliguns" on the payroll. Without witnesses willing to come forward, nothing can be achieved. Not sure if there are cameras but even then it's not like in England where everyone sits down in an orderly fashion. I would be ecstatic if they caught him though. http://inpaok.com/325845/
  11. A lot of fans and some reporters would be happy if it hit Campos. Maybe that's what he was aiming for ? ;)
  12. Do I think the linesman was paid ? No. Do I think he made a bad decision ? Yes, because he's left doubt in everyone's mind which will never be 100% answered, although the ball looks much more out than in. Does s%$#! happen ? Yes. It is what it is. Will I come up with another avatar for Amorgos when we play AEK in Athens ? F-U-C-K Y-E-A-H !!!
  13. This is an interesting point. As pash posted in his link, apparently Savvidis wants the culprit found. Now, if (and this is a big if) the culprit is found, and Savvidis bans him from Toumba, and he hands him over to the police, I would say in the spirit of trying to improve the game PAOK should not be fined. But that's just my view. On another note, what is wrong with these people ? Flares at the beginning of the game ? Have 100,000. They look mad. But during a game, and on the field ? What if it katoonked a player in the head ? m*****es.
  14. I reckon it was out, but f**k mate, it's not my view that counts (based on an insufficient camera angle). End of the day, the refereeing has left a question which will never be answered. Could've been worse. Could've been against Olympiakos. :)
  15. It's not an ideal camera angle, but based on it, the ball looks out. I mean it looks out, but was it completely over the line ? Maybe 0.00000000000000001% of the ball didn't cross ?!?!?!? Stupid angle but moreover, bad positioning from the linesman.
  16. You look so handsome
  17. I really think it's time for PAOK to spend up on a good striker. Easier said than done of course. But it's painfully obvious that for once (and this is good!) we have a pretty solid team overall but don't have that striker up front to lead the team. Klaus isn't exactly fear inspiring.
  18. The funny thing is that our biggest problem in the last couple of seasons was conceding goals. Our offense was pretty good but we had one of the worst defenses in the league. Now, we have what appears to be a very solid defense, but we can't score.
  19. Article from http://inpaok.com/325624/ο-φονιάς-της-αεκ/ regarding Christos Dimopoulos and his goal scoring exploits vs AEK. I always loved those PAOK jerseys with the Suzuki sponsor.
  20. Everyone has their (different) take on players. For myself, Ninis is nowhere near the level of Mantalos or Fortounis. The cruciate ligament injury he had in hist last season at PAO in 11/12 just took something from the kid. He's never been the same. He went to Italy (which is a good thing) in 12/13 and played with Parma largely with stints off the bench. Even though he didn't get the game time I'd hoped for, he was still at a good club in a much better league with better players, better facilities, better everything. He would learn what it means to play in a real league. So when he came to PAOK in 13/14 I thought, "here we go, Ninis is going to tear up the Greek league". I couldn't have been more wrong. He was virtually non existent for PAOK. Same again for PAO the following season. He's only really started playing decent since moving to Charleroi. And he's still not in the first 11 most weeks. Usually gets subbed on or off. I'm not sure if this is a fitness issue or what is going on. Regardless, I think it's too early to be talking about having Ninis in the NT.
  21. @1789 Soros definitely sounds like an interesting person. Possibly has sociopathic traits.
  22. Yes, sorry, it was 2011.
  23. When was the last time Ninis won a game for Greece ? 2010 B.C. ?
  24. Yeah, that's way over the top. I just don't see the point in trying to "indoctrinate" at that age. Life doesn't work that way. What will they think of next ? What happened to the good old days when you'd go into a mechanic and there'd be the calendar of the girls with big boobs! That's what I'm talking about. ;)
