If he's clearly better than Glykos then it's a good transfer. Then again, Olsen was meant to be an upgrade.

Well according to transfermarket he was injured most of last season. As for his signing, I can only agree with pash that they're expecting or preparing for players leaving. I'd say this is the last season for Tziolis and there is always the possibility that Kace will be sold or leave as a free agent. It's imperative we keep Cimirot. Charisis I'm hoping he stays injury free and gets lots of game time. Maybe Ivic plans on playing some games with 3 midfielders (no dekari) which may give players some more game time. Regardless, this signing has potential dud written all over it. I hope I'm wrong.

Never heard of him. I'm not worried about the fact he hasn't scored. It's not what you need in a good DM. Is it a done deal ?

Interested to see how Crespo and Shakhov perform. And yes, much to my surprise Pereyra is meant to be ripping it up.

Sabo and Antonis, slim and I mean very slim chance of maybe playing again one day for the club, assuming they are loaned and have a great season. Skondras it looks like it's over. Overall he's been a decent player for the club. Definitely has the heart but technically he's lacking.

I wasn't, then I wasn't, then I wasn't, then I was. I think for the GSL he's fine. May get caught out in higher level EL games though. If by some miracle we roll a 20 on a 20 sided die and we qualify for CL, he probably is not at that level. I think the fact that he's our best CB (in my opinion) speaks volumes of the quality of our defense.

The squad size is already getting quite large. I don't know how some players are going to get adequate game time. Wings: Djalma, Rodrigues. Possibly Mak, Jairo, Pelkas, Mystakidis. 4-2-3-1 If Ivic plays a 4-2-3-1, he has the following players to pick from. Midfield : Tziolis, Kace, Charisis, Cimirot, Shakhov. Wings: Djalma, Rodrigues. Possibly Mak, Jairo, Pelkas, Mystakidis. Dekari: Pelkas, Biseswar. Possibly Pereyra, Mystakidis. So many permutations. Ivic has his work cut out just trying to pick a best 11. Then again, we will probably have 15 players injured by half way through the season and we'll be slotting in players into unnatural positions and then fans will be demanding more metagrafes.

At the end of the day, we can go back and forth on how democratic the EU is. Maybe it's more democratic than we think (and probably more democratic than they'd like) but we'd be missing the point, which is that in reality it doesn't function democratically due to the unbalanced amount of influence Germany has over the EU. Even France is now bullied by Germany these days. As for having elected officials represent Greece (or any other country), what is the point ? The discussions are not "democratic". It's the EU (Germany) bossing the situation. The EU has not covered itself in glory in the last few years and it's no surprise that many ordinary people look upon it with trepidation.

The scary thing is that for the EU to have any chance of functioning properly, it needs more power ie. political integration, which can only be gathered by the countries in the EU giving up more of their powers.

You are possibly right about Farage. But too many people assume that if one voted for Brexit, that they are Farage supporters and this is not the case. Some voted due to their own racist tendencies and Farage merely did what every politician would do ie. gather some easy votes where he could. But many voted for Brexit because they don't believe in the EU project. I myself think the EU project is an utter failure and have no faith that it can be fixed and for this reason would have voted for Brexit. The EU in its current form is a terrible thing both economically and socially. I find it hard to believe that 52% of the people are anti immigration. I think it has more to do with the way the EU governs *cough* for the people. It's a clumsy organisation that lumbers from one problem to the next with no real plan on how to get Europe functioning in the post GFC environment. Just look at the way the EU is behaving now that the referendum is over. Instead of respecting democracy they are looking for ways to hurt England economically. If anything, this will vindicate why many people voted for Brexit.

I thought it was right wing extremists that are typically and sometimes aggressively anti immigration.
