Grkfreezer624 don't you think the MLS clubs that made offers pulled out as the new he was injured? Essien is a big name but so far has proved to be a big mistake by signing him injured in my opinion. Personally I hope he gets fit asap and gets on the field for PAO as he is a player that can help you guys a lot. It also lifts the Greek League by having his name there, it can attract more players in time to come. How do you think you guys will fair up against Brugge in CL?

They have this Aussie striker who has massive attitude but the kid can F***en play!!!!!! They mean business!!!!! I wonder where they will turn to now with no Giovanni....... Still think we need another striker also, Djebbour aint enough and yes we have Aravidis but still need one more classy guy who can finish, surely the Balkans or Scandinavia have someone for us

I read that Giovanni got injured is this true? If so that will surely say he isn't coming now. Don't know why we still chasing if he hasn't got his heart set on coming to us. Was hoping we would get another striker to compete with Djebbour but we do have Aravidis who can also play there Next has to be a keeper. In more areas we are lacking in your opinion guys?

Im starting to warm to the players we are signing as the team is going from strength to strength, now we need a keeper to compliment the others we have brought in. I would also like to see another striker come into give Djebbour some competition also... We are looking the goods so far boys!!!!

Good to see we have bolstered our defence and midfield with good players, now we need another winger for sure, I don't see Platellas and Barbosa cutting it all season, we can also have Aravidis there and we all know what he is capable of but one more wont hurt. A striker is a must also and as said above a keeper. Anestis wont cut it!!!

Thought it was him Original and you took my next point already his crosses at times are sh*thouse too. With these two on the left and right and can cross, the balls Djebbour (or another striker) will be running onto will be great!!! Any word on a keeper yet? Yes I just read on aek365 Original. Good signing as we need to cover that position, Soelidis is good but does have the tendency to fade out in games and gets beaten easily at times. Correct me if im wrong but the goal we copped in the Kypello vs Oly in the dying mins was because he didn't track his runner at the far post. I could be wrong but I am pretty sure it was him....

I haven't heard much of Giovanni but Louka I have and he is quite a talent from what I have seen of him. Could be a good piece of business and as Original said it would raise us a level as a team. Lets see how both fair up and if we get them.

There has been no news on him at present, but you are right players struggle to comeback the same after an ACL look no further than Falcao as example... And considering the physios AEK has I don't hold high hopes with them....

I agree with you Original we do have that hunger and determination nowadays with this squad and change we have had. As I sad we matched it with Oly, beat PAO in a friendly, beat Atromitos along the way too. If I have missed another SL team we played please remind me.... We surely do have atleast 3 new faces to come in and from what I have heard don't know how true it is they say Scocco has already signed for us back in Easter, whether true or not remains to be seen, we offered him good money and we doubled what Newell's offered so hopefully that enticed him to come back and has the hunger to win a title with us.

I agree with Rockerfeller our team only lost to 1 SL team (Oly) in the Kypello and we matched them overall in both games so I don't see why people lack faith in the players we have and the players we have brought in. If anything Djebbour has something to prove to us ALL, Vargas will lift the team around the park and Cezar has the experience we lacked in the 2nd division and I am sure there will be another 2-3 players coming in to strengthen the team. Personally I think we are a top 5 team, can we challenge for the title? Depends on our consistency and also what results we get in the derbies. But since we have just come back it would be wise to say that next season we should mount a massive title charge, this season anything in top 3 is a great achievement, but as I said it comes down to our consistency because the old AEK would batter the bigger teams then go to Panthrakikos/Veria (as example) and lose or draw, this is what we don't want and cant have happening this season.

I just saw a few highlights on him that the Greek papers have uploaded and he looks like a pretty good player that we can benefit from. He gets stuck in, has vision, great touches for a defender and is very composed on the ball, this looks promising for us!!!!

Original he seems like he has the experience we will need with all the La Liga teams he has been with, this could be a good signing, time will tell....

They are the least of my concerns, I am laughing at Oly and their media who talk so much s%$#!, but then also aek media isn't far behind.....
