Dikafale11 I don't think he has it in him to be our #1 striker in SL, we need quality there and currently we don't have it, yes Aravidis has had a cracker season and scored when needed but he cant be our #1 man up top. Iv said for a long while we need a Berg like striker, the guy scores goals for fun and is very clinical, surely our management can find one player of this calibre

A nothing game for us but we need to try find some kind of form, we haven't shown much in the playoffs at all so we need to get back to doing what we did during the season, its understandable the players may be already on vacation mode, as when you consider it this season has gone for almost 11 months which is a disgrace, my main concern is they'll hardly have any time off before our pre season starts... Will be good to see who Dellas goes with in this game, it was good to see Faye get a run, there is something about him I enjoy watching but come next season we all know he will struggle big time to get game time with who we have and the players we got coming in.

From what I have seen of this guy he really reminds me of a Gattuso like player, full of running, hard tackling and has great vision, next to Johanssen if they connect we will have a very good midfield, I feel Anakoglou will struggle to find a starting spot at times unless hes played at #10 when Mandalos is missing. Akritis we all know that Meli is the front man but cant be known as it due to his involvement with OPAP. As for what's written about VDV I wouldn't read into it that much.

If we did have the chance of signing VDV I would take him the atmosphere he would create around would be awesome, but I wouldn't spend it on more than one player, $3-$4 mill is nothing for Meli so even if he personally pays it im sure it wont hurt his pocket. So many names are being thrown around who knows what to believe.

When you think of it the season for AEK has gone for nearly 11 months, any team would struggle if a season went that long for them, let alone the stop and go's that Original has mentioned above. Original I just read we are pursuing Van Der Vaart, what you reckon of that? Personally we sign him that's a massive statement of intent!!!!!

I thought it was the 2nd spot we were losing because Switzerland was right up our ass in the co-efficieny? Either way makes it even harder if we lose to automatic spot because then you have to play or could play the 3rd and 4th best teams of Italy Spain and England, add Germany in there too.....

That's also "IF" we don't lose our 2nd CL spot because currently we are borderline to lose it

Oly & Pao will/have strengthened their roster so we need to do the same if we want to finish top 2. I will be happy with anything in top 5 for our first season back, hell we can even win the title "IF" we show consistency, Oly will win their games as they usually do but if we do the same and we pinch 4 points off them next season then you never know what can happen but I would rather not talk about winning the title for now and focus on us just being top 5 and having a chance of CL football....

Played crap but got the win and confirmed our promotion, welcome back AEKARA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The current team we have is good enough for top 5 in SL, to win it with this team is a bit premature I think, but add a few players and a bit of experience and anything can happen after that, our main focus MUST be getting that CL spot.... Bravo to everyone for the efforts the last 2 years, its been hard and miserable but we got through it and now we look forward!!!!!

It would be great to get the win infront of our fans and confirm our promotion. Will be a tough test as the boys haven't played well at all in the playoffs, but it says something when you play bad and still keep winning...
