  1. This isn't a severe punishment yet... Marinakis can still run Olympiakos behind the scenes and not be the president. Melissanidis does the same with AEK, he's not president but he runs everything. I only hope that this leads the way to more punishments later on, I'm surprised he's allowed to leave the country
  2. PAOK didn't get F***ed? They were benefitted by match fixing in Europe so they advanced in the champions league two seasons ago. I just hope we aren't disappointed tomorrow
  3. D'Acol has been released already, and I hear Brecevic is as good as gone. Chrisantus is probably staying. I 100% agree with everything else you wrote tho, there's so few Greek talents nowadays on the smaller clubs and no one good will come back to Greece from Europe, we just have to go wait a year or two more until our academy players are ready. And people need to realize that we signed Greek players these past two years because no foreigners would come unless they've played in Greece, we signed 80% of those Greeks just to get us promoted and then bench or release them.
  4. Logical fans should understand why he left, he had no other choice we were a bourdello and I wouldn't be surprised if Adamidis sold him under the table to Olympiakos (I've heard this from a few people with connections), unfortunately the same people who never forgave Bajavic for leaving will do the same for Djebbour and cause problems I'm sure.... There's a video on AEK365 of the goals he scored, he's the type of striker we need to turn half a chance into a goal still, with the correct wingers whipping in crosses and wrecking havoc Rafik will score a bunch, his fitness and age might be an issue in Dellas high pressing system so it's important to get another striker.
  5. At first I was against the move but now I'm happy he's back. Djebour has always been Melissanidis favorite, even the summer before G ethniki Melissanidis was saying he wanted Djebour, I trust him. Scoring 14 goals for APOEL since December is a good sign, now imagine him with a full pre season training and paixtarades like Vargas Simoes Johanson and Mantalos passing him the ball, if he's our starter he'll score 20 goals in the entire season. If he acts up I anyway he'll be released immediately, that's why I love the 1+1 team options we are giving to most players, we are in control of them. With Melissanidis in charge he won't pull the s%$#! he did with Adamidis as President.. As for Scocco it wouldn't surprise me if he's been signed already, i believe Djebour has been signed since around then also, just waiting for the right time to announce the news. My problem with Scocco and Djebour is the fight they got into at training last time, will they be able to get along? I hope so...
  6. Other than Goutas and Kourbelis and Vellidis there aren't any Greek players not playing in Europe or for one of the other big teams that are good enough to start for this team
  7. I like that lineup except for Katsouranis starting, I'd still start Tachtsidis or Samaris because the time is now for them to gain experience since we are already out. And I really think Katsouranis is retiring, Atromitos released him today, an upper mid table team thought he wasn't good enough, I can only see him going to a lower club in Greek like a Panionios, back to India, or retiring. We should have been starting 2 defensive midfielders from the beginning, this is what I wanted when Santos left. Santos would go with 3 DMs, when we could have gone with 2 and still won, now we've been going with 1 and we've been losing. Look at the World Cup, that's when we played our best under Santos IMO, we had two defensive midfielders and Kone in front of them, it worked out great for us as we could defend well still and attack better than we were in qualifying, if it wasn't for some spectacular saves we would have had more than 3 goals that tournament.
  8. Well hopefully his form from Cyprus carries over, I hope he isn't the only striker we are going after though.
  9. Marinakis asked for a delay for tomorrow's trial... And it was denied
  10. ^^Markarian himself said that he's not the coach of the future so we should definitely start searching for the next coach, but I agree about Sakis Tsiolis, he's a clown of a coach and has never stayed anywhere for more than 16 months.
  11. Scoccos manager came out and said that the offer they have from AEK is by far the best and will be strongly considered. The problem is Newells doesn't want to let Scocco go, and Scocco hasn't said that he wants to leave. We will see what happens with him. To me, it sounds like his manager is trying to get more money from us to convince him to come, or trying to get Newells to offer more money to get him to stay. If we really want him Melissanidis should send a private jet down to Argentina, pick him up, bring him at the offices of his company Aegean, and he would sign in 5 minutes just like all the other players we've persuaded to sign at Aegean.
  12. How did Topalidis get more votes than Anastasiou who rebuilt PAO, or Vergetis who's lead Asteras Tripolis to two Europa league group stages? From that list Id take Jovanovic, Vergetis, Anastasiou, Donis, and then Tsiolis. I'd take Michel or Ketsbaia before any of them tho
  13. We need to use the next four games to test players like Kaltsas Kourbelis Gianniotas Mantalos Diamantakos Bakakis Petsos and Kolovos to figure out if they will have a future spot on this team. At this point, Stafylidis should still be our LB to gain more experience, same with Samaris and Tachtsidis, all of them need to gain more experience in these 4 meaningless games. We need to build some sort of core to build off of for the World Cup qualifiers. We probably won't qualify for the World Cup but we need to have a solid showing to build momentum for Euro 2020 qualifying... We also need to find the coach of the future ASAP, someone that knows Greek soccer that will rebuild the entire national team set up from u15 to the senior team, we need to find an identity. Michel maybe? Or Ketsbaia??
  14. I like the lineup we have, I wish Ninis would have started tho. Hopefully he plays 30ish minutes as a sub. That lineup is strong enough to win 0-3. I can't watch so post update everyone
  15. ^^ I don't think he's seen Tziolis play at all this year... Or ever seen Kourbelis play or knows who he is... Anyone who supports Tziolis inclusion has a soccer IQ equivalent to a rock.
  16. June 18th the punishments, if any, against Marinakis will be announced in court according to SDNA
  17. Georgeas asked Dellas if he can stay with the team for just one more year, Dellas agreed and we've resigned him. Since we already have 3 players that are primarily right backs, and Andreopoulos who can also play Right back, he might play like 2 games. He'll be 39 in December and is clearly past it, I'm really really surprised he didn't retire...
  18. We have Hungary last game, they need to lose 1 game before we at them which can easily happen
  19. Drogba and up lol As I said in another topic our competition will have great strikers. PAO has Berg and Karelis, Olympiakos will surely bring in two strikers and Chori can make anyone score, Asteras has Baralles, and I guess even Klaus can fall into this category. All these strikers have been better than Djebour since he left Greece, he's older now too, if we are serious about contending Djebour won't cut it. There's no way Asteras can have a gkoltzi like Baralles and we start Djebour, especially after he spat on our faces and signed for Olympiakos...
  20. Well I guess we are close to signing Djebour.... There goes my hope that we oy sign players with great attitudes and work ethic... Hopefully he can carry over his great form in 2015 from Cyprus to the Super League, and I hope he won't be our starting striker...
  21. GREAT MOVE! Now get him some proper fitness coaches and physios and team doctors so it doesn't take 2 months to come back from a pulled muscle!
