Gents, the inability to score I believe comes down to the quality of the individuals and Aris forwards unfortunately lack it. I don't remember Ideye at OSFP but I would be willing to bet the players surrounding him were much much better than what he has at Aris. He is a hard worker and I imagine that paid off when he played in Piraeus. I'm not sure what guarantees certain players have but it's time for some to start sitting, not sure that would change anything but some appear to be way too comfortable with their standing.

If I understand this correctly, there will be a draw after the conclusion of this round? BTW, this format really sucks and only helps to serve the top clubs.

The first thing I noticed when I turned the game on is the horrible condition this field is in, why risk injuries?

I think we can all agree that the beginning of the season was less than desirable. Something stinks and to me it all points to the guy in charge, I believe there is a Greek proverb about the fish smelling from the head or something like that. I don't trust Karypidis much and I think he's a shady character. His name has come up more than once when fixed matches are concerned and he had a close relationship to Raul Bravo when he was working in Greece, for those that don't remember or know Bravo was arrested in Spain for being part of a syndicate suspected in match fixing. Where there is smoke odds are fire exists. Let's not forget the incredible story of the gate profits from the Molde game that were stolen from his cousins house, somewhere in Veroia, because they decided it was a better idea for a single person to take 200 plus thousand euros with them and make a deposit the following day then to allow a security firm to take care of it. I don't know what it takes to fix matches but the early results against some of the lower half teams look very suspicious to me. You might ask why would he do it, perhaps they miscalculated and assumed the team would have a more successful and lucrative road in Europe before Molde knocked us out or maybe because he is into deep and has no choice. Whatever the reason, I am convinced that this guy is no good. Rumors are flying that in Bravo's confession one of his associates in Greece is currently President of a team, maybe it's him maybe it isn't, regardless it's another strong coincidence. There are also rumors that players haven't been paid for sometime, maybe true maybe not, it does make one think though?. I don't want to come off as an arrogant Aris fan trying to excuse the team's failures early on in the season but these results coupled with Karypidis presence make me scratch my head. Just some food for thought gents.

If that's the case then on of two things can be true, he is not capable of being a true leader or he did not have the support of management. Given that Diamantopoulos left as well I'm thinking Karypidis was the problem.

I'm not too fond of our President's ways either Emperor but as long as he keeps putting a product on the field worth watching I'll be more than happy to ignore him. Emperor beat me to it but I'm fairly certain none of us, given our age (old and grumpy?), are high on some of the on and off the field antics. Having said that, I will always yield to them when it comes to the local derby because although I have been a Aris fan my entire life they have a better understanding of the Salonika pulse.

On the contrary, I am expecting a couple dozen to give out as Christmas gifts.

I did not watch the game, only highlights this morning. Not a bad result at all, bravo to the players and coaches.

As much as I appreciate the effort and passion Diguiny plays with he is a very sloppy player. I would really like to see either Mancini or Duarte in there ahead of him. Maybe you play him in this game but going forward they need to start improving the on field quality of the team.
