  1. They left Gama out to rest. Durmishaj will have his pass revoked soon, I for one am happy about that.
  2. I think UK just went outside and screamed at the top of his lungs!!!!?
  3. The more I read about the transfer issue the more worried I become about Aris being relieved of the debt. They might have to rethink letting go of Menendez & Duarte. I had read they were ready to bring up a couple of promising youngsters from the U19 team but that is not possible now either. Skordas and his gang continue to screw this team years later!!!
  4. Apparently Emperor this did happen with AEK and AEL but nothing came from it: https://www.allaboutaris.com/podosfairo/150979/oi-apofaseis-dedikasmeno-tis-fifa
  5. http://www.gazzetta.gr/football/superleague/article/1434376/aris-metagrafes-telos-me-ti-sfragida-tis-fifa Not sure what to make from this, I read somewhere that documents were sent to EPO in October and November so why is this coming to light now? According to this article it does not seem possible for this to be resolved before the transfer window closes so Aris must continue with what they have.
  6. I did not watch the game but I don't think that's necessary to understand what you are talking about. The fact that Oenning keeps using the same players is an indictment on the roster. Since none of us are at practices or privy to the coaches thought process the least we can do is give the guy the benefit of doubt. Under his guidance the team has become very conservative with a business like mentality and it has served them very well. My opinion is, and opinions are like a-holes we all have one, he does not trust this roster enough to play attacking futbol. If I recall correctly when he first came to Aris he said he prefers 5-4 victories to 1-0, then he saw what he had to work with and adjusted his philosophy.
  7. if I were to ask you guys before the 3 games were played how you would feel with victories against PAOK and Ksanthi and a draw on the road with AEL I’d be willing to bet you would take it. Now that it happened it’s disappointing because the same 11 started? I remember a time when the same line up was used for an entire season excluding injuries and cards. Early indications are that he doesn’t trust many of the players on this roster for one and apparently certain others are required to play for one reason or another, see Ideye. Whatever the case, the team is currently in 4th place, albeit only one point ahead and most likely will drop after next week’s lose, but very much within their goals of playoffs and cup not to mention a very tough nut to crack with a mediocre roster. There are many things that disappoint me with Aris but the coach is not one of them.
  8. Under the German Coach Aris has a certain stability. While it is not necessarily the most exciting brand of soccer it certainly is efficient. It was a tough three game stretch in eight days and the team came away with two victories and a road draw, I don’t think it’s all that bad.
  9. That can't be possible, didn't Aris just dish out money for the Durmishaj transfer?
  10. My extreme disappointment with Aris new signing and my overall disgust with the SL in general turned me off and I did not watch or listen to the game this past weekend. Under other circumstances I would be thrilled with any victory against PAOK let alone one in which Aris scored 4 goals. Having said that I did watch the replay Almand provided for us, thank you sir. The over analyzation of this contest, not only here but in the media in general, made me curious. I thought it was a well deserved victory and although PAOK out possessed us Aris were the better side. The first half was very poor in quality since both teams were amped up running around like chickens with their heads cut off. The first two goals were similar, bad defending followed by horrible goal tending and our second goal very opportunistic but basically off a set piece. PAOK did have the chance to take a 2-0 lead and a 2-1 one lead but lucky for us their players didn't capitalize. For what it's worth those opportunities presented themselves because of defensive errors that our opponents jumped on and not by any organized attack, as a matter of fact I only recall one of those by them the entire game around the 66th minute when Giannoulis came down the left and crossed it to the Polish forward but Cuesta beat him to the ball. The second half was a different story definitely aided by the goalie's gift 3rd goal to Aris, it really took the wind out of their sails. The fourth goal along with the Fetfa offsides goal both came from great upfield defending by Aris creating breakaway opportunities. I will disagree with you guys here and to answer Emperor's question to me about Oenning's scheme, I thought it was brilliant especially after our new signing came in. The 4-2-4 high press caused PAOK major problems and they had a hard time getting the ball out from their defenders. PAOK was unable to threaten the entire second half aside from the 66th minute attack I spoke of earlier and of course their second goal which was another defensive miscue. To simplify things Aris won because they did a better job taking advantage of the opponents defensive errors. This roster can be very dangerous in games like these where the opponent possesses the ball because it affords them the opportunity to take advantage of their speed, finishing of course is another story. I can't say that any one player stood out but hats off to Larsson for his effort while he was in the game. Question, is it fair to assume there is a mandate from the boss for Ideye to play at all times?
  11. Not that I’ve heard of.
  12. UK, let me approach it a different way, are you comfortable with the fact that we have 3 former OSFP players on our roster that came to us in the same manner? I am not and it smells to me. BTW, Happy New Year gents, all the best to you and your loved ones.
  13. UK, this has nothing to do with them, PAOK have turned into OSFP and are just as guilty for the crap that is going on in the SL today but that's for them to worry about. My concern is the little pip squeak embarrassing Aris.
  14. Yes it is UK. I have no proof but it's the third time this has happened in the last couple of years, if it where any other team we would be thinking the same thing. Where there is smoke there usually is fire my friend. Let's not forget the idiot going on OSFP TV (or was it radio) openly siding with them.... I didn't think it was possible form me to despise anyone more then Kontis & Skorda but this imbecile takes the cake. I am very turned off to say the least.
  15. https://www.allaboutaris.com/podosfairo/150091/proti-tou-ntourmisai-me-ta-kitrinomayra I guess it is official i thought playing in the 3rd division was the lowest point for our club but what is happening now with Karipidis takes the cake in my opinion. Another former OSFP player joins the club under the pretense of a transfer. Is Bruno next? Instead of purple maybe our third jersey should be red & white stripes. And why do none of the organized fan organizations object in any way? I am disgusted.

Happy holidays to all of you and your families!
  17. https://www.allaboutaris.com/podosfairo/149918/ta-vrike-me-ntourmisai This is pathetic and embarrassing! If Karypidis can’t handle being president of Aris then he should step aside.

The following excerpt is from an interview Passalis gave: "Ο Ντιγκινί είναι ο πιο χαρισματικός ποδοσφαιριστής του Αρη αλλά αν δεν βάλει το εγώ κάτω από την ομάδα, δημιουργεί μεγαλύτερα προβλήματα από όσο βοηθάει την ομάδα." Have you guys heard or read anything regarding the Frenchman's attitude?
  20. Was I wrong in hoping Diamantopoulos would start?
  21. After all teams have played each other once it's clear that PAOK & OSFP are above the rest followed by a group of 5-6 teams that are a level below, one of those teams is our beloved Aris. I believe it is a decent team that is very weak in the most crucial area, goal scoring. Our creative players are small and fragile and the players who the team relies on to score (Ideye, Larsson, Diguiny) are very sloppy and lack touch. Both sets of players seriously lack in mental calmness when they are in scoring position!! It's easy to understand why so many of the team games end in ties especially since the majority of the opponents sit back. I don't know if they have money to spend on another forward unless they release some players with bigger contracts. I have no idea what their philosophy was over the summer but it seems that they planned assuming group stage in Europe would be reached. This is very concerning because it shows a lack of responsibility and ability to have alternate plans by the man in charge. Unfortunately I see similar moves to those that handicapped Aris in the recent past forcing relegation.
