The only time matches should have two legs is the semi final (OK, maybe even the quarter final) and definitely not any time before. The cup is supposed to be for the smaller teams to have a run and earn some money while creating the romantic feeling of giant killers. It isn't about the big teams. The way it is now, if any big team slips up then there is always a second chance to make it right (exactly what happened with us). Where is the excitement in that? We have it all wrong in Greece (again).

I would let Koulouris be for the time being. There is no need to bring him back right now. He is just fine where he is. When summer comes we will need him back with Karelis going back to Belgium. Then he will (hopefully) have to fight it out with Akpom for a place in the starting 11 (unless we play with 2 up front). Heard we are close to finalising a deal for Bonatini. Just on loan I hope.

If Warda is going back on loan then we need to sell him in the summer.

Warda asked to not return with the team to Thessaloniki and has gone to Athens instead. It seems he will not wear a PAOK shirt again.

A game of two halves. We could (and probably should) have been 3-0 down at half time. Paschalakis had a fantastic first half and definitely saved us. Completely different second half which saw us play some nie football. Akpom had a great game and showed that he has what it takes to start. Onto the next!

I would much rather off load Hatseridis and keep Warda. I’m also fairly happy with the return of Henrique. Not very keen on signing Berg to be honest, we have already helped PAO out enough. He is also 32 and by the time you pay his wages, his club and the clause of Panathinaikos you’re looking in the region of €6m. Definitely not worth it. Let Akpom and Karelis fight it out.

Exactly. Which player from a lower division would not like to play at one of those stadiums mentioned above?! It gives them a bigger incentive to play well as if they do put in a performance they could be spotted. The smaller team has nothing to lose anyway! The money from tickets is also split down the middle! 50/50 for each club. It is also all about the fans. This is an opportunity for those of lower leagues who are used to watching their team play in sheds, to finally watch their team in a much more impressive stadium. That is why I love the English FA Cup so much. There are many examples where lower league sides have turned up to a Premiership side's ground with 4,000 fans and won (just like Oldham this weekend). I moved to London this weekend and went and watched my local team today, Fulham. They played in the cup against Oldham. It was quite a poor game, however Oldham who are in League 2 (4th division) managed to take a big scalp with a 2-1 win. Do they have a second game? No! Oldham came, they won, they went through. There were also other smaller teams beating bigger ones this weekend (Barnet beat Sheffield, Newport beat Leicester). This is the magic of the cup and in Greece we managed to make it so that the smaller teams have less chances of making it through. Regardless of the fact that I support PAOK, this tie should not have a second leg. If Panahaiki beat us then they should rightfully go through.

Some good business happening. It was a huge mistake to get rid of Arnesen. Agree with you Chris, this could be Chuba’s chance.
