  1. Tough to say what's true and what is fake thesedays...
  2. @Dutch Eagle just joined the Phantis Wiki. Thank you sir for offering to help with keeping the Phantis Wiki articles fresh and up to date. I wish there were more people like you - willing to contribute their time and knowledge so those that seek information can learn and educate themselves.
  3. Update on performance for first six months of Trump administration from CNN: Trump's first six months in office: 991 tweets and 0 pieces of major legislation
  4. Many of the bills Trump has signed, such as designating buildings and appointing board members to the Smithsonian, do not have a major, direct impact on Americans, and Trump's 'ambitious' legislative agenda on tax reform and infrastructure is largely stalled. The outlook is also uncertain for the Obamacare repeal bill, which passed the House and is tied up in the Senate. Here's a reference on CNN: President Trump has signed 40 bills into law. Here's what they do
  5. Here's a phone number and map for Θείος Βάνιας (Theos Vanias - translation: Uncle Vanias) near the train station inThessaloniki. Phone: +30- 2310-528549 http://www.stigmap.gr/view11513-theios-vanias-thessaloniki.html
  6. Of course it is! Maybe not thrown by you, but by Trump himself. In Trump’s world, the only thing that matters is that the sound bytes are good — a deal, and one that he personally made, on behalf of the American people. Will the deal materialize? According to an industry observer, “Most of the time,” Anthony Cordesman of the Center for Strategic and International Studies said to McClatchy, the enormous worth of packages such as the Saudi deal “isn’t reached.” Will it create any jobs in the US? Nobody knows! Some of the deals are memorandums of understanding that would require further agreements to materialize. A spokesman for Raytheon, one of the companies that along with Lockheed Martin, Boeing and General Dynamics signed memorandums of understanding with Saudi Arabia as part of the deal, was unable to even speculate as to whether or how many jobs the arms package will add. This is what the White House statement reads like: "This package demonstrates the United States’ commitment to our partnership with Saudi Arabia, while also expanding opportunities for American companies in the region, potentially supporting tens of thousands of new jobs in the United States.” Notice the word 'potentially.' Sean Spicer took things a step further next day, saying that the deal would create “hundreds of thousands of jobs.” So, in a day we go from "tens of thousands" to "hundreds of thousands." Does this sound to you like a government that has evaluated real numbers? The Trump government is about distractions. "Look here, no look here! We're making America great again. Jobs, jobs, jobs. Money, money money." And there are a lot of gullible people that believe that these flashes and smoke bombs thrown by Trump is what governing is about. Trump is a danger to the US, Trump is a menace to the world.
  7. Have you tried switching to 'Source' when copying, then copy the HTML and post it in the new topic - again in 'Source' view as HTML. Then you can switch to WYSIWIG. ( By the way, just had to change your profile cover photo - I hope you like! )
  8. Can you point me to where I can get what you call " formatted information from my archives " so I can test? I need to be able to reproduce in order to see if there is a workaround. Thanks.
  9. Now, all members have full access to customizing how forums are displayed. Your selection is available from the upper part of the main forum page. Table view is the view that these forums have always had. A Grid view lets you see the forums as cards is a grid. And finally a more dynamic and fluid view that allows you guys to get right to the meat of ythis community - the topics.
  10. When you say "post" do you mean upload or reference an image that resides on another site? If you mean 'upload', I don't think you can. I believe this was never an option on these forums. to reference an image from another server (website) you just paste the image address as such: https://img.bleacherreport.net/cms/media/image/41/81/a8/5b/a586/4d40/b020/15171525fdbb/crop_exact_GettyImages-687508544.jpg?w=460&h=259&q=75
  11. Here one of my favorites: Dan HIcks & the Hot Licks in 'I Scare Myself' - A live performance at San Francisco's Warfield Theater. Where, reunited with virtually every musician he had ever recorded with, Dan celerbrated his 60th birthday in style on December 9, 2001.
  12. And this ladies and gentlemen is what an a**hole looks like: I know my post doesn't make much for a constructive conversation, but as long as this orange orangutan is President there is not much of a quality conversation to be done.

  14. As guitar players go, I'm sure each one of us has a favorite instrument. Whether it's some Fender old time classic, or a newer model of some unknown manufacturer, let's start talking about what makes us happy. For my part, some of my favorite guitars are the Samick Greg Bennett semi-hollow and hollowbody guitars. I love the LaSalle series. Also love the Royale series (shown below).
  15. One new feature that we are introducing is 'Clubs'. Clubs is a brand new way of supporting sub-communities within the forum. We haven't tested extensively, but we are hoping this latest feature will become a hit. It will be refined as we go along. We'll start with 3 kind of clubs: Open club - Everyone can see the club and its posts, but only members can participate. Everyone can join. Closed club - Clubs that anyone can see in the directory, but joining must be approved by a Club Leader or Club Moderator. Non-club-members who view the club will only see the member list - not the recent activity or content areas. Private club - Clubs that do not show in public, and users must be invited by a Club Leader or Club Moderator Each club has three levels of user: Leader - A leader has all of the permissions of a moderator, and can add other moderators. They can also add content areas (see below). The club owner is automatically a leader. Moderators - Moderators, as the name implies, have the ability to moderate content posted within the club. As the site administrator, you can define which moderator tools can be used. You could, for example, prevent any content being deleted from clubs, but allow it to be hidden. Moderators can also remove members from a club. Users - Anyone else that joins the club. Site administrators and moderators, with the appropriate permissions, are able to moderator content in any Club regardless of whether they are a member of it. For closed clubs, there's an approval process. Users can request to join and the request must be approved by a leader. Leaders get a notification when a user requests to join; the user gets a notification when their request is approved or denied. Examples for Clubs would be something like: Melbourne Greeks, or Rebetika Music Lovers, or Phantis Pizza Lovers! It could be geographical defined. i.e. New York Dudes, US East Coast PAOK fans or in broad context i.e. Mensa Society Members. Let you imaginations go wild! To introduce the feature, I will start a Club with a subject that I love: Guitar Players At this discovery phase, any premium member can start their own club, but it will require approval before becoming active. Again, we'll adjust things as we go along - one step at a time. Clubs is available as a tab on the upper navigation area.
  16. Performed a forum software update. A bunch of new features. I'll go over things as soon as the dust settles. If you stumble across any issues, please report. Thanks.
  17. We had a failed attempt at upgrading forum software. In order to restore operations we had to resort to restoring a snapshot from May 18 (yesterday). So, if you've posted since yesterday and can't find your posts, I am sorry to say that they are unrecoverable. Let me know if you experience and other problems or things don't work as expected. We'll address the software upgrade at a later date
  18. If you're going to score against your own team, might as well make it a stunner!
  19. This strike leaves more questions unanswered than issues it addresses. Does the Trump administration (and the US) have a coherent foreign policy in place? Does the Trump administration really care about Syria and Syrian people or is this 180-degree turn just another machination of Trump to change the narrative and distract from investigations looking into his campaign's collusion with Russians? Here's an interesting clip with Fareed Zacharia." Did the US missile strike against Syria signal an end to 'America First'? Fareed Zakaria looks at foreign policy and the Trump administration."
  20. Trump in 2006: 'I like nepotism' Not much has changed. Ivanka now gets security clearance and a post in the White House.
  21. The U.S. House of Representatives just voted 215 - 205 to gut the FCC’s Internet privacy rules that prevent Internet Service Providers (ISPs) like Comcast and Verizon from selling their customer’s personal information to advertisers without their consent. The measure already passed the Senate last week, so it will now head to the President’s desk for signing. US lawmakers voted to allow ISPs to: Monitor and sell customer’s location data, search history, app usage, and browsing habits to advertisers without your permission Hijack customer’s search results, redirecting their traffic to paying third parties Insert ads into web pages that would otherwise not have them This is the list of the 50 Senate members that voted for gutting Internet privacy rules. 22. My brother brought this to my attention: a very interesting article with Greek historian Vasilis Kremmydas talking about economic conditions in Greece around the time of the Greek War for Independence in 1821. He talks about myths that were weaved somehow into the fabric of Greek history (like the myth where Bishop Germanos of Patra (Παλαιών Πατρών Γερμανός) οn March 25, 1821, blessed the fighters at Agia Lavra in Achaea and raised a banner of war), the economic conditions surrounding Greeks at the time. A very interesting reading for history buffs and those that like to educate themselves as to what were the real conditions and what really happened during the Greek War of Independence. Ο Βασίλης Κρεμμυδάς καταρρίπτει έναν-έναν τους μύθους του 1821 (κι όχι μόνο το Κρυφό Σχολειό) Πηγή: http://www.lifo.gr/articles/book_articles/93091 (Unfortunately it's in Greek only, so some readers might have to resort to online translation services - it's well worth the time ! )
  23. CNN has a page dedicated to "Tracking Trump's promises." - Donald Trump made hundreds of promises, pledges and threats on his road to the White House. This continuously updated interactive feature tracks his progress in delivering on that agenda at the beginning of his term. Explore Trump's issues and progress... For some it's a measurement of accomplishment, for others the counting of steps for the USA jumping off the cliff. It would be interesting to revisit that page at the end of Trump's first 6 months.
  24. And what grid lock might that be? Would you care to elaborate? We don't all necessarily espouse your distaste for Obama, so when you make statements like that please enlighten us as to why you want us to take your opinion seriously. Is it the economy that the Obama administration failed at? Jobs? Human Rights? The Environment? Providing Healthcare to an additional 20 million Americans that did not have any sort of healthcare before? Please enlighten us. No more 'drive-by shooting.' Unless you have a full formulated argument, or can back up statements like the above using coherent English, don't bother throwing 'smoke-bombs' like that. They will be deleted.
