  2. Since there is already a page on ancient Greek history, I thought I'd make one for modern Greece, relating to the Greeks struggle to break free of Turkish occupation and how the modern state of Greece was formed. If you're interested I found this video of Greek history from 1821

  3. AEK and Atromitos both received a 3 point deduction from the standing along with fan ban and monetary fines for the crowd trouble during their game, which also included a stabbing among other things. I guess if you try to kill someone, you also get a two point discount.

  4. the lack of an experienced player that would step in and take the team on his shoulders is quite evident this season. There is no one that would take this leadership role. You would think Klaus would be one of those guys, but he is more interested in getting a new tattoo and party with his girlfriend in some Athens night club.

  5. Bakasetas with another 2 goals yesterday against PAOK should probably be on the plane to Australia. He's got a cracking left foot and I think I recall reading something about him having the highest number of assists this season. He looks like he has been physically working out too. He's built like a beast.

  6. Islamification of the Western world is a world wide phenomenon. Unfortunately only very few have discerned why and who is behind this. The latest reports are evacuations of officials from Turkey. It is anticipated something big may happen soon. @RS I fell for Tsipras's promises. I was hoping for Greece to default and leave the Eurozone. I didn't give a s%$#! about his ideology. Tsipras deceived everyone. Tsipras is not working for Greece. I am learning more about these so called socialists. The have the same pattern of governance. for example Obama. Open borders to terrorists, islamification, abortion, gay rights, high taxes, destroying the middle class. Why are they doing this? I have already outlined the agenda in previous posts.

  7. What? Leicester 7 points clear at the business end of the EPL season? Ethniki need a coach like this, oh, we did have that coach. What if the so called star players didn't buy in. Nah, lets blame the coach, it's easier. Claudio's doormat must be blue & white.

  8. No we never had this problem in the past though. We were a rabble and disorganised but we had a certain level of attacking flare. What changed under Rehhagel was that he put an emphasis on organization and defence which totally came at the expense of attacking football. In the past we had decent attacking players who could create and score some of our chances. The trade-off under Rehhagel was that we were not going to cop cheap goals like we did. A strong defence suits our style. We have world class defenders. The challenge is to transition to attack more efficiently and have a plan. The last Euro qualifying showed that we could dominate everyone in the group with possession but we were clueless when it came to creating chances and penetrating even poor defences. There were matches where we went a whole half without setting foot in the opposition penalty box or shooting with any purpose. This needs to change under Skibbe.
