  1. RS, we'd still be in the EU in theory unless they got vindictive. And NATO also. The only difference would be Greece would control its own currency again and could inflate if necessary to devalue. Also, Greece would have control over its rate of interest from its Central Bank. I see no benefit whatsoever in staying within the current Euro structure. Greece got suckered in by the promise of handouts which they duly received and wasted. I don't think the EU cared what was done with the money. They say they do, but I don't really buy it. Now that we're in they have us by the balls. For myself, the proof of how badly they want to control Greecr (or any nation for that matter) is the fact that they haven't booted Greecr out. If any nation deserves to be kicked out of the Euro club, it's Greece. And yet they didn't. This conversation goes around in circles as nauseum. This is the simple truth. They lent money to Greece knowing it was a win win either way. If Greece paid it back, all well and good. If not, take it back through other means. They will get their money back. So the Greeks of yesterday partied and the Greeks of tomorrow will pay.

  2. @pash It's tough to keep good players if teams from the top-5 leagues show interest. If Lazio want Kace we have zero chance and it's hard to argue. Arnesen valued him at E4 mill earlier this year so I say deal him! If we are being 100% honest, I don't think he gets much better. He is at or near his ceiling. Undersized for his position and not a great north-south passer nor does he have particularly good field vision. His strengths are set pieces, his motor, and the ability to cut passing lanes. Those can be replaced. @Blackhawk I agree that Cimirot is a "better" player, but he is more creator and less defender. The ability to see open spaces, hold and advance the ball upfield are way tougher to find than what Kace brings. He needs to play. Tziolis > Sabo and arguably our most "important" player this season. I think a Tziolis-Charisis-Cimirot/Pelkas midfield trio is our best option. Pelkas has gotten praise from Berba, Tudor, Arnesen and Pacienca at Setubal. He has talent but lacks consistency. He is young with <50 games of top flight football. Patience is important, admittedly a trait not found in our DNA as PAOK fans.

  3. Too bad most of the Patriots' key players are locked in contract for at least another two years. Too bad we have won of the youngest and one of the best defenses in the league that isn't going away. Too bad Brady is in the best shape of his life, too bad we are going to have a lot more cap space this off season with the Hernandez, Revis, and Wilfork dead cap coming off of our books. Just face it, the Patriots are going to slap around the NFL for at least another 5 years.
