I don’t know how Bakasetas is valued at that price. In my opinion he was one of the reasons we couldn’t beat teams less than us. Along with JVS tactics and other poor selections. I’ve noticed Sokratis is not even in the top 20 of most valuable Greek players in that list. I hope we bring back Manolas, Sokratis and Siovas so we don’t see players like Tzavellas in the squad anymore. I read Poyet was impressed with Ioannidis of PAO who scored against AEK this past weekend. He’s not a bad striker and should be given a chance but I see Giakoumakis and Douvikas ahead of him as our best strikers.

Think about all the PEDs Russia used to get there. This is just the universe balancing itself.

Now that Russia is banned by UEFA, Greece moves to number 14 position in the standings.

These games are so tough. The teams play with players who in all likelihood, would not represent them at the event. So you have countries like Serbia, Greece, Spain playing without major stars.

It’s all about results. Performance has to be measured by wins first, and then by all the other parameters. JVS alienated and pissed off some of our best talent. Trust was broken. Clearly they did not want to play for him. Then again, others were excluded from the lineup or squad. That’s not good. Starting 11 has to include our best talent. There can be no rifts. Coach has to have the last say but we cannot not have our best players in the team.
