  1. Well let's see if we can finally eliminate a Dutch team from European competition.

  2. It is clear that Fetfa has the skill to be on the National team, but I see his stats say 0 goals 0 assists in 7 appearances in a very average league this year and he never contributed enough goals and assists to warrant a higher status on any club that he was on. Flashy dribbles and passes are great but if they don't go in the back of the net they are useless. Fortounis has shown to be a much more effective attacking player than Fetfa has ever been and it shows in the stats. Also we do not really know what happens behind closed doors with any of these players but attitude and personality might have something to do with players that make the NT and others who don't. Salpi was a professional through and through and of course it helped his NT selection to be like that because the coach was able to trust him in all situations and he knew that he would still be bringing something to the team even if he was off offensively. And for everyone that is saying that he looks like Messi. Messi is what he is because he produces goals and assists.

  3. To win this game we will need the most inform players no loyalties to dead weight... Karelis needs to start and we may need a 4-3-3 again with karelis mitro up front fortounis just behind them. I guess it coukd be considered 4-4-2 diamond center.

  4. For the call to have been wrong, the whole ball should have been out. According to this video that's based on 3d technology, that wasn't the case.

  5. The impression given when the pirates were in Australia was that Vellios had lead in his boots, quite slow. I'm assuming he has talent cause he is in the national side's squad.

  6. vellios is faster than mitro but they're both not fast. good strength tho, both of them. fetfa and holebas would be nice on the wings

  7. Leaving Istanbul in a few hours, gotta say it is a pretty fun city. Food is great too.

  8. You are right, their passing game is better and execution on point. Greece seems to be afraid to press defenders and, once in the final third of the field, tend to rely on crosses from the wing or long-range attemps. That is too predictable and simply not good enough to beat a dynamic team like Bosnia. Greece gives up possession too easily with long balls, negative passing, long-range shots, and poor off-the-ball movement. Giving up the ball cheaply to a team like Bosnia, a pressing side that try to get into dangerous scoring positions with every possession, can spell disaster for Greece. Bosnia is comfortable dictating play and gain confidence with possession. Greece must keep the ball as much as possible in order to frustrate their opponents. If Skibbe isn`t talking about this in the room, then there is a major issue. Despite this, I still think we have a chance in this match, because our defensive players, both individually and as a unit, should be enough to make a game out of this. If we approach the match with courage, claim the ball, press their defenders and hunger for goals, all while remaining sound defensively, we will win; if we play scared, they will smell fear, taste blood, and massacre us.

  9. Fetfa has never been put in an ideal situation succeed in the NT. His spot was never secure and he knew that one misplay, one bad half, could mean being subbed/benched/not called up. That`s a terrible feeling and will never get the best out of a player, let alone a young, undersized one that has to fight for every inch. All this despite moments of brilliance and the dynamism he would add to the generally stagnant flow of the NT. On the other hand, managers would stubbornly stick with players like Salpingidis, who, yes, had some great games for the NT, but was predictable and out of sync in too many others. If Fetfa was given the confidence to play his game, without the fear of being easily benched, he could have done great things for the national team and have been in a better a better situation club-wise as well. Waste of offensive flair and talent on a NT that has so little.

  10. I think we lock up Campos in a room with a table, two chairs, baseball bat, and Boston Thanatos smoking a cigar. Sometimes fear is a good motivator.
