  1. There is one big difference between the two incidents. PAOK was punished -15 points (3x5), monetary fine and fan ban for the incident. The happenings at Karaiskaki were not even mentioned by the ref in the official match report. It's these double standards that fuel fan violence.

  2. Im with Greenshadow on this one. Up until the penalty was awarded the game was terrible and Olympiako were terrible. It didn't look like they would break Astera until that penalty. It wasn't a bear hug, Milivojevic runs into the defender and dives as soon as there is minimal contact. It wasn't even close to a penalty. The offside was a joke because from his perspective, the linesmen couldn't even see the Astera player behind the Olympiako player who was covering him out wide. You want to see a bear hug, this is what it looks like: Like Greenshadow said, when PAO or AEK or whoever it is doesn't deserve to win, they usually don't. Olympiako didn't deserve to win today and the entire rhythm of the game was changed due to a false penalty. Here is the "offside" Pay attention to the linesmen's positioning:

  3. You want a comment for the game Iraklis-PAO? Here, we were awful and we didn't deserve to get anything from the game. Cause you see when PAO doesn't play good we don't get petsina penalti like the one your team got today!

  5. theres literally nothing more that i can say in this forum about the club and where its at. almost every single thing has been voiced and discussed, issues, management, coach, players, signings, fans, the entire league, corruption! i dont post as often as id like to, but im reading almost daily on the updates and following everybodies voice on our greatest love, which is PAO. it really is a shame how bad the quality of not only pao, but the entire league as well. first and foremost, i am a football fan, as without football, wed never have PAO FC to support, so the deminishing quality of the league is just as heart wrenching as seeing pao become barely even a shadow of its former years. And through this fall in quality over the years, ive found myself losing interest more and more with each year. Its hard enough to wake at 4.30am to watch a game of soccer, and now its barely possible to even fathom ever doing it. Essentially the point of this post, was to basically ponder the question to you guys and open a discussion. Whos to blame? As much as we all know the behind the doors s%$#! that olympiakos get up to....in all seriousness, how hard is it really to overcome them?? It almost seems to me that blaming the gavoi is the easy way out. Dont get me wrong, they do have favoured calls and the rest of it.... BUT, we dont look like anything spectacular, do we really deserve to win the league? do we really deserve europa? do we really deserve CL? forget the whole 'europao' name that we HAD, and i say had. because if you ask me, 'europao' is done and well dusted! a few semi final runs here and there over 3 decade period doesnt justify or grant us the right to be in CL now! What is it that we as a club can do in order to win the league and show some form of professionalism to be at the point that we want us to be??

  7. I get why people are disgusted by favoritism, corruption and treated unfairly by the state. Still, no one has the license to destroy private and public property and threaten people's lives. This includes the incompetent police and those who are in charge of law and order. This bullshit is endemic of Greek society and must stop. In the end, it's Greeks hurting Greeks and the country (including its image), more so than anyone else outside Greece. Frankly, if nobody bothered to show up for 1 year, I bet you none of this bullshit would be going on today. Same with a lot of other stuff in politics. Who elects those crooks and who believes their crap? But, in a way, it's become the culture of modern Greece to complain about everything, believe in magical solutions, being selfish, while no one really wants to fix things by changing themselves first. I'm disgusted by what's going because I care, but I'm also disgusted by the small-mindedness of so many people. It's a culture that has to change.

  8. Bananas, in the US and many other countries the perpetrators are dealt directly. They're arrested, charged, and processed. They face fines and ban from the game. Soon, people get the message that they can't do whatever they want even if they're frustrated for whatever reason. In result is that 99% of the rest of the fans enjoy the game, plus there's less damage to private and public property. But, I agree with your observations. However, if they really wanted to solve this ridiculous problem there are ways...
