  4. Nothing at all, the question is whether a private individual should take ownership of something thats run by the state and making money for the state, the private individuals nationality is neither here nor there. A bit like Roman Abramovich taking over a Russian asset and the profits going to his good self to do with as he pleases instead of going to the Russian state. No one is knocking private foreign investment/investors, just objecting to the looting of revenue generating assets. If a German wants to open up a chain of shops in Greece then goodluck to him, I'm all for it, its when they have control of things like airports that i object. Correct, which is why we need to exit this union because the decisions of this union are clearly not benefitting Greece. Really? even if not doing so is detrimental to Greece? And who gets to decide what response is 'politically & militarily satisfactory'? Anyone else who we should not have anything to do with because of their unsatisfactory behaviour, or is it just Russia? And you talk of hypocrisy? Just look no further than the respected countries we both live in. Unless you're German of course, but I think the land/asset grabs that have already taken place in Greece are more than sufficient, besides do lenders not bear any responsibility? do private lenders not have any risk associated with their lending? Or do they just get rich off the interest, dictate policy to their debtors, loot assets and have European tax payers guarantee that they're fully reimbursed+interest? Another reason why you should control your own currency http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2015-07-20/greek-economy-finished-quarter-firms-shifting-abroad

  5. I don't know if it's a German asset grab. But it's definitely an asset grab. I imagine overseas entities will only be interested in assets that are cheap or very profitable, which is only logical. As to the composition of the fund, no details have been provided yet. It's also political point scoring from Schauble, who is seen in Germany as the tough German teaching those Greeks a lesson. This has nothing to do with fiscal responsibility or about getting Greece out of the hole.

  6. Get Karagounis and his klika away from the NT. I can't understand how he didn't think Michel was worthy of the job. Man, he's lost a lot of credibility. No one has the right to trash something that's bigger than them and means a lot to many people.

  7. Blackhawk, in my mind the whole problem with the team is you can't trust any of them to perform on any given day. Our players are so up and down. I would say the only player you know what you're going to get is Kace. That's it. You know that say 8 or 9 out of 10 games, he'll perform at a given standard. All the rest, and I mean all the rest, you don't know what you're going to get. Some are obviously better than others in terms of their consistency, but honestly, it feels like a roll of the dice a lot of the time. Will Lucas play if selected ? Hold on, let me roll some dice and I'll give you an answer .... ;)

  8. Hi guys. I never knew this site existed!!! Ever since greeksoccer closed ive been like a lost pup. So since there is no introduce yourself section, i found it fitting i make my first post on a player i saw playing as a u19 striker live in 2007 and thought was the next big thing! ( way more than i ranked Ninis) So good to see a whole lot of familiar names on this site! Well thats it! So as for Mitroglou, Sporting suposedly are reluctant to take the guy on loan and pay 2mil euro salary. This is the last i heard.

  10. I wasn't sure where to post this so I figured this was as good a place as any as it's generally about the club. I've just gotten back to Melbourne after 2 and a bit weeks in Greece[by the way, how fracking cold is it?], a great time was had by all and there were plenty of frappedes and general beach going. We also spent a few days in Thessaloniki [we stayed at Hotel Nikopolis and I can recommend it highly, great pool, service and you regularly see some of the PAOK players there as the team uses it as a base before all games]. On the last day my wife asks if I'm going to go to Toumba and grab some gear like I usually do. It's Saturday so I thought, I'll check and make sure the shop's open on the weekend and head in, get some shirts for the 3kids and sign myself up as a member if I can and support the club. Check the website, open 9-5, sweet, It's 12 in the afternoon, I let the kids play in the pool for a few more hours then get them out of the pool and drive into Toumba with the eldest [she's sports mad and was pretty pumped]. Get to Toumba and there's at least a hundred kids and their families getting on buses to go to some sports carnival. Bedlam in the car park. I squeeze [bTW, what is it with Greeks not being able to park their cars, they all drive small sh1tboxes and can't park to save themselves?] the car into one of the last spots and walk up to the shop. CLOSED, shutters down not a sign of anyone around. Hmmmmm not good. Maybe they're closed so that the kids and families and buses an gather freely in the car park. I'll double check the website, yep 9-5 opening hours. It's the same at the store in the city, 9-5 I'll head in there as it's only a 5-10 minute drive. Go in there and CLOSED with a sign on the window saying opening hours are 10-3. WTF you dipsh1t mofos, how farking hard is it to edit the farking text on your website to show the right farking hours. I was going to spend at least 200 Euro on merchandise alone plus whatever a membership costs. Now that's gone. I'm sure it doesn't mean much to the people who run the show but I'm gutted. Last time I was there the shop was closed for construction. For all the changes that seem to be occurring on the pitch it's the same old m*****es off it. Sorry for the long rant but I just had to get it off my chest.
