PAE PAOK has requested that UEFA postpone the game on Thursday. UEFA declined to postpone the game.
-
May they Rest In Peace. January 27 just like October 4 from now on will be remembered as one of the dark days in the PAOK history.
- Today

Horrifying video. I recommend you don't watch it. As Pash was saying, these were people who were excited for the game, a chance to go somewhere to watch their team. We have all done it. Crazy how life can change in a second.
-
Oh wow that looks brutal...very, very sad. So terrible that what should have been a fun trip ends like this.

Depending on what happens next weekend, this game could see us make some real gains vs the other two...especially since we also have a game in hand.

Will there be another MOU for the next set of permits, followed by an addendum to the MOU for the next set of permits? Inquiring minds need to know!
-
Today a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between PAE PAOK, AS PAOK and the Nest of the Two-Headed Eagle concerning the construction of the new stadium. This opens the door for the application of the needed permits for the project to move forward.

Agree. Tie in those games is always the preferred result. As for Panathinaikos, their team is in disarray and I really think their chances of making the top 4 for the playoffs are not that good. However this might mean that they will give it their all in our two games in the cup. It will be very important for us not to lose the first cup game against them in Athens.
-
For me, I almost always will root for the draw. Either of those teams could go on a run and/or knock points off us. Trust in our long-distance legs, I say.
- Last week
-
A dull weekend without PAOK playing. All the other teams had a day off too it seemed. 4 x a 1-0 win (including Olympiakos and AEK, the latter with a questionable after a push before the goal), a 0-0 (Atromitos missed a penalty against Pana) and a 2-2 between the skoulikia and Levadiakos. Top 3 not mathematically sure finishing top 3 but well, you know. Levadiakos 9 points clear of Pana (the Greens with 1 game in hand though) and a very very very serious contender for the last spot in the Championship play-offs. Next week we have Panserraikos at Toumba while AEK and Olympiakos meet eachother in the Agia Sophia Stadium. Too early to say what the best outcome would be for us, but with a draw they both drop 2 valuable points.
-
Draw for the play-outs is January 30th. MD 1 starts in the weekend of February 15th. Last MD April 26th.
-
FT 4-1. A pity Nestos won away in Karditsa, #3 in the table. We start like this in the relegation group: 5. ΠΑΟΚ Β 12 6. Καβάλα 12 7. Νέστος 9 8. Καμπανιακός 8 9. ΠΑΣ Γιάννινα 5 10. Μακεδονικός 3 PAOK B has the advantage against all opponents in case of equal points at the end of the season as the lads finished above all the other team in the regular season (PAOK B had 24 points and Kavala 23).
-
Please god use him next year
-
An early lead for the lads: 1-0 Balde

If he is serious about returning to Europe, he'll budge on the salary. There is zero chance he doesn't realize how overpaid he was in Mexico. Five million will be chump change if he leads us to a title (and possible direct qualification to the league stage of the CL). Don't worry my friend, it'll all work itself out. I have foreseen it.

PAOK in Europe 2025-2026 (News, Draws, Rankings)

Also with a tie at Lyon we will at least end up in the 9 - 16 position, which would mean that in the playoff game we will play the second leg at Toumba. -

The buyout option is 5 mil. Hopefully we can reach a deal with Cruz Azul at around 3 to 3.5 mil. The other stumbling block will be his salary. Right now he is making around 3 mil (we are paying around 1.8 mil and the Mexicans the rest). I don't see us paying him that much if we sign him outright.
-
1,496 minutes played, so works out to just under 17 games. Scores every 125 minutes. Someone (our Austrian former podcaster?) mentioned when we first got him that we'd see a high workrate kind of player. Well...that's spot-on. Good call there. He's also pretty entertaining to watch; plays with a similar type of aggression to my boy Pelkas (which I think is a huge positive). I think the sites were saying we had a "reasonable" buy out amount, but I don't think I actually saw any numbers? Either way - BUY THE BOY I forgot when I wrote my previous post that Kedziora has an automatic extension if he plays in 70% of games, which I am sure will happen (barring any shock injuries).
-
Must buy Giakoumakis. He has impressive stats in Europe: 4 goals in 7 matches (and not a single one the whole 90+stoppage time). Overall 12 goals in 25 matches (did not check the minutes he played but I don't think he has played whole games). He has gelled in perfect and seems to found his freedom (thanks Fats Domino!) in Thessaloniki with his family. And he is only 31. A baby according to Razvan.
-
Also, adding this because it is quite interesting. Tough road ahead either way.
