Antaeus7
Does anybody know if they are showing the European Indoor Championship in Belgrade on a U.S. network?
Blackhawk
I really doubt that it will be televised in the US. The only channel that might be intrested din carrying it would be NBCSN as they sometime show Olympic sports from Europe, but I really doubt that they will. In any case here is a web site that claims that they will be streaming the championships: http://www.eurovisionsports.tv/eaa/

Antaeus7
Same, maybe three depending if our young Greek pole vaulter Karalis may impress us since his world jr. record he shattered in Athens.
Blackhawk
I think Stefanidi and Papachristou will medal, and if Filipidis has a good day he might come close as well.
Antaeus7
Stefanidi, obviously yes and could win gold (even less than 4.90 m). No one is a real threat only Ryzih and Bengtsson are the good ones in the pool. Papachristou may win gold if Mamona or Gerrish don't jump better than 14.75 m. Filippidis is an enigma, he can be good or he could fail badly. My high hopes is on Karalis and he is just 17.
Antaeus7
Papachristou qualified for the finals with a measurement of 14.12 m Pesiridou reached the semifinals with a time of 8.08 Edited March 3, 2017 by Molon Lave
Antaeus7
This is BS, Pesiridou finished 8th overall in the semifinals with a time of 8.10 but doesn't go to the finals just because she finished 5th in the heat, but Kallur goes to the finals with a time of 8.12 (9th best overall) and finished 4th in her heat. Top 8 with the best time should be competing in the finals.
Antaeus7
Milan Trajkovic of Cyprus won the heat with an impressive 7.56 (2nd best overall), just 3/10 of a second in front of Orlando Ortega of Spain. :o
Blackhawk
Karalis 11th with 5.50 Filippidis missed one attempt at 5.35m, but cleared every other jump including 5.70m. He missed his first attempt at 5.75. Currently in 6th place. Four athletes cleared 5.75 so far.

Antaeus7
That was pressure for Filippidis ! He is still alive for a medal.
Blackhawk
Filippidis cleared 5.80 on 2nd attempt. This moved him to 5th place.
Blackhawk
I don't tghink he will medal because of his early misses. Specially the one at 5.35m. He will need to clear 5.85 or even 5.90 to have a chance.
