NikosVazelas
for anyone that is wondering, greece is officially no lower then 15th in europe and will have 2 teams in the cl in 2008 all be it through qualifications. with a few wins by aek and pao we can most likely move up as far as 12th seeing as 2 of the next 3 countries ahead of us have no teams left in europe. here is the link. http://www.xs4all.nl/~kassiesa/bert/uefa/d.../crank2007.html later skaters

cyberfish
According to the chart, if no one plays any games from now on, Romania will be ranked #1 country in Europe in 2010  What it really means is that Romania has gathered more points than any other country in the last two years. Here is UEFA's tables with points by team: http://www.xs4all.nl/~kassiesa/bert/uefa/d.../ccoef2007.html With four wins in the UEFA cup this year we will be more comfortable, but our points are divided by 6, while Israel's (the only country behinds us with teams continuing) points are divided by 4 so they do have a slight advantage. Also, as we watch the next four games it's good to remember that if a game is decided in penalty shots, the result of the actual match played will yield points, so we need clean wins. Just a little reminder how this whole thing works for people like me who forget (so I can find it next time I need it) : - Only UEFA CL, and UEFA cup games count for this point system - Qualifying round points count for the Country's coefficient but not for the team ranking coefficient - Each country's point accumulation in the last five years determines ranking - Each win yields 2 points, and each tie yields 1 point - Three points are awarded for each team participating in the CL - One extra point is awarded for every round a team reaches beyond the group stages in CL - One extra point is awarded for every team that reaches the 8, and one point for reaching the 4 in UEFA cup. - For each country, all the points gathered by every team are added up, and divided by the total number of teams participating in Europe. This is the country's coefficient that determines ranking I am looking forward to February. Dust this couch everyone
