Ziaka
This thread is reserved for news about the upcoming season. News about pre-season training, pre-season friendly games and the team as a whole. It is slowly time to start thinking about the upcoming season and the pre-season training. Unfortunately this will be one of the hardest seasons in PAOK's history, since we are not even sure what division we will play. We have allready lost the UEFA Cup competition on paper, and there is the threat that the team will declare bankrupcy and will be dropped down to D' Division. That is something very unlikley in my opinion, but that's what we were saying about the UEFA Cup. My assumption is that PAOK will play in the new Superleague Hellas 2007 competition as well as the next season's Greek Cup.

Ziaka
Here is the PAOk roster from last season, and the date when the player's contract expire. Who would you like to see come back for next season? Who do you think will leave PAOK with prosfyges? Already Ekgomitis and Maladenis are gone. Feutchine and Udese are gone as well. Only official announcements remain. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- GOALTENDERS: FERNANDEZ, Daniel Marcio - Contract expires: 30/06/2007 KYRIAKIDIS, Dimitrios - 30/06/2009 TOCHOROGLOU, Kyriakos - 30/6/2006 DEFENDERS: AZMY, Amir Mohamed "Megahed" - 31/12/2008 CHARALAMBOUS, Ilias - 30/06/2008 FEUTCHINE, Guy Armando - 30/06/2007 HASIOTIS, Dionisis - 31/12/2006 KARYPIDIS, Christos - 30/06/2007 MELLISIS, Christos - 31/12/2010 MUMIN, Hussein - 30/06/2010 UDESE, Ifeanyi - 30/06/2007 MIDFIELDERS: ARABATZIS, Nikos - 30/06/2009 BALAFAS, Sotirios - 31/12/2010 EKGOMITIS, Panagiotis - 30-06-2006 ILIADIS, Stelios - 30-06-2009 KONSTANTINIDIS, Pantelis - 30-06-2006 MALADENIS, Christos - 30-06-2006 MALEZAS, Stelios - 30/06/2010 RAZEK, Mahmoud Abdel "Shikabala" - 30/09/2008 VAGGELIS, Lambros - 30/06/2007 ZAGORAKIS, Theodoros - 30/06/2007 OFFENSIVE PLAYERS: CHRISTODOULOPOULOS, Lazaros - 30/06/2010 GIASOUMIS, Giasoumis - 30/06/2008 MIECIEL, Marcin - 31/12/2007 SALPIGGIDIS, Dimitrios - 30/06/2009
Ziaka
Here is my take ... GOALTENDERS: FERNANDEZ, Daniel Marcio - Contract expires: 30/06/2007 Must keep him at all cost, and it looks like he will be staying. KYRIAKIDIS, Dimitrios - 30/06/2009 Should stay as backup to Fernandez. TOCHOROGLOU, Kyriakos - 30/6/2006 Contract expired. Time to say goodbye. DEFENDERS: AZMY, Amir Mohamed "Megahed" - 31/12/2008 Should stay, but rumors are that he is the next player to file prosfygi. CHARALAMBOUS, Ilias - 30/06/2008 Should stay, but supposedly is already talking to Cypriot teams. FEUTCHINE, Guy Armando - 30/06/2007 He is gone. Good luck and never come back. HASIOTIS, Dionisis - 31/12/2006 He's got 6 months left on the contract. he will probably stay. KARYPIDIS, Christos - 30/06/2007 looks like he will be staying. MALEZAS, Stelios - 30/06/2010 Will stay, and will probably get his chances. MELLISIS, Christos - 31/12/2010 Have not played a sinle game yet for PAOK. He willbe staying. MUMIN, Hussein - 30/06/2010 Injured all last season. Time to prove himself. Will stay. UDESE, Ifeanyi - 30/06/2007 Looks like he is gone, unless some rich guy buys PAOK. MIDFIELDERS: ARABATZIS, Nikos - 30/06/2009 He is most likely staying. BALAFAS, Sotirios - 31/12/2010 Same as Arabatzis EKGOMITIS, Panagiotis - 30-06-2006 He is gone. Signed with Ethnikos Arxas. Thanks for your services. Good luck. ILIADIS, Stelios - 30-06-2009 Had disapointing season. Needs to prove himself. KONSTANTINIDIS, Pantelis - 30-06-2006 Contract expired. Don't care either way about him. MALADENIS, Christos - 30-06-2006 Gone. Signed with a B' Division team. That says it all. RAZEK, Mahmoud Abdel "Shikabala" - 30/09/2008 Somebody send a rescue team to Egypt and bring him back. He needs to stay. VAGGELIS, Lambros - 30/06/2007 He will most likley stay. ZAGORAKIS, Theodoros - 30/06/2007 Good question. He will stay to help the team, but in what capacity? OFFENSIVE PLAYERS: CHRISTODOULOPOULOS, Lazaros - 30/06/2010 Hope he stays. Teams from Athens have eyes on him. GIASOUMIS, Giasoumis - 30/06/2008 File that prosfygi already please. MIECIEL, Marcin - 31/12/2007 I would like him to stay, but at 240K Euro per season, might not be a good idea. Supposedly he has offers from Greek and Cypriot teams. SALPIGGIDIS, Dimitrios - 30/06/2009 He is staying. For now.
Ziaka
It was decided that the pre-seson training will take place exclusively in Greece. The plans for going to France have apparently been scrapped.

Ziaka
It seems that there might be another option for pre-season training for PAOK. It will bedecided today if PAOk will travel to Germany (near Munich) to conduct part of the pre-training sessions between July 12-23. The training session will include several games with german team s from B' division, and possibly one game with a Gaerman A' Division team. Another possibility is that after the trainihng session in Germany the team will travel to Italy to conduct part of the pre-training there. Decision on all this will be taken soon. Serraios
I would say so far damage to the club has been minimal. So far players that have left can be replaced with current players, and will not hurt us next season. I also know that we do have a few good young players that Dumi might work into the side during the season.
Ziaka
The first pre-season training session takes place this coming Monday. Kostas Orfanos has contacted all the players who are under contract, and it appears that most of them will show up. The only players not contacted were Feutchine, Udese, who are considered history, and Konstantinidis and Tochoroglou, whose contracts expired today. Ziaka
It was decided by the temporary board (Orfanos/Syndesmi) that the pre-season training will take exclusively in Thessaloniki and specifically at the Souroti training facilites. Dumitrescu today during today's press conference also said that PAOK will play several pre-season games at Toumba and throughout Greece.

Serraios
good result from PAOK I thought. I was worried we would get smashed. Big problem however, is that we were only able to make 3 subs. You would hate for someone to get injured. some photos from the game.. http://www.contra.gr/Soccer/Hellas/AEth/PA...AOK/125348.html
Ziaka
Yes, it looks like we will be having depth problems unless we acquire some help during the transfer period. As far as I know Dumi brought only 2 youngsters from the B' team. Next game is on saturday against Troyes.
Ziaka
It has been reported that AC Milan and Inter Milan have shown interest in playing a friendly pre-season match on August 13 at Toumba. It seems that Ilie Dumitrescu has made the contact with those two teams.
Serraios
That would be sensational. No matter how we perform in all the friendly game PAOK will start the new season much more prepared than I can remember the team being in the last 5 or 6 years. Too bad we don’t have enough depth in the squad. I hope that changes soon.
Ziaka
The friendlies against either Milan or Inter will most likely not happen because they are asking around 250,000 Euro to come to Thessaloniki. PAOK also asked Arsenal, but they want 400,000 Euro. It appears that PAOK will agree with Lazio Roma for the August 13 friendly at Toumba, since they are only demanding 130,000 Euro.
