Ziaka
Time will tell. I don't think they will be bringing in any big and expensive players. From what I read, they will bring back some of the players that are loaned out right now, along with some young and cheap prospects they might find in Eastern European market. I expect they will sign two to three new players over the summer. I think it is important for the team to finally end paying all these players from the past that are no longer on our team (Kafes, Koutsis, Vokolos, etc.) that are draining the team's resources. Ziaka
Goumenos had a meeting with Theodoridis today to talk about new contract. Goumenos offered a 3-year deal, but they could not agree on the financial aspect. They will have another discussion next week.

Ziaka
Avraam Papadopoulos signed a 3-yerar deal with Aris. And besides, I think PAO is interested in the player. I guess Ogynsoto from Ergptelis would be a good signing.
Ziaka
PAOK has acquired the 18-year old Hussein Munin from Panthrakikos. It is reported that Munin is a talented offensive player, who helped his team to qualify from the D' Division to C' Division this season.
Ziaka
Today Goumenos met with Theodoridis again and offered him 3year deal worth 300,000 Euro + 50,000 bunuses if he plays a certain amount of games. The player is demanding around 170,000 Euro per year, and it is also rumored that he has a preliminary agreement with Panathinaikos. Goumenos gave Theodoridis until Friday to decide if he wants to stay with PAOK. Also it is rumored that PAE PAOK has decided not to offer a new contract to Spasic. Details from sportnet.gr: Theodoridis/Spasic
Ziaka
Theodoridis is history. He has met with PAOK officials and told them that he has an offer from European based team worht 300K per year. Goumenos just wished him good luck with his new team. We just have to wait and see where he ends up, but I have a feeling he might go to some German team and then after six months comes back to either PAO or AEK. In other news, PAOK officials have informed Konteon, Eleftheriadis, and Malezas that they are ending their loans to other teams, and that they are expected to return to PAOK for the next season. As fars athe 20-year old Moyano, he will ost likely be loaned to a B' Division team, unless he manages to get a EC passport. As for other players leving the team, Zavantias and Louka have been told that their contract are not going to be renewed. Decisions about Karadimos and Ekgomitis depend on the possibility of finding suitable replacements.

Batigol
I'm sure Karageorgiou is well aware of all the players at Xanthi. I wouldn't be surprised if he wanted a few from that team given his history there. Shame about Theodoridis though.
Ziaka
Apparently PAOK is interested in the Cypriot Charalambous, whose contract with Omonia ends. Also there are rumorrs that we are after a Turkish defender, who plays for the Turkish NT.
Ziaka
Reports are that the Turkish international Fatih Akyel has agreed to sign a 3-year deal with PAOK. He will be in Thessaloniki on Thursday to sign the contract. Akiel was a free agent after not being re-signed by the German team Bochum.
Ziaka
Akyel has 64 caps for NT of Turkey. He was part of the Turkish NT that placed 3rd in the 2002 World Cup. He started his career at Galatasaray. after that he went to Mallorca, but returned back to Turkey, this time as a player of Fenerbahce. In December he transfered to Bochum, but only played in one game. PAE PAOK is supposedly putting special clauses in the contract, since he has some bad reputation from his stays at Mallorca and Bochum.
Ziaka
According to GoalNews, PAOK has extended the contract of Daniel Fernandez until 2008 with a 2-year option. His salary was also incresed to 60,000 Euro per year. Another option in his contract calls for doubling his salary if he becomes the main goalkeeper for PAOK. Ziaka
Nikos Karageorgiou, the PAOK coach has announced his plans for next season during a press conference. Ziaka
PAE PAOK has announced that they are no longer interested in the Turkish defender Akyel. reson given was that Akyel was given until today to respond to their offer, but failed to do so. In my opinion I think there are two resons for this. One is that Goumenos gave up due to the backlash from PAOK fans that expressed their desire not to have Turkish players on the team due to historical ties of the team. The other reason could be that Akyel was never interested in joining PAOK, and just used the PAOK to get a better deal with another team.
