Reports out of Greece suggest that AEK Athens have agreed terms with young Aris Thessaloniki striker Leonidas Kapantais.

The 22-year-old forward was declared a free agent by EPAE Committee on Arbitration of Financial Disputes and is expected, over the weekend, to sign a three-year contract with the Athens club.

Kapantais will replace Cypriot striker Yiannakis Okkas, who has a very expensive contract (800.000 euro per year) and refused a 10 per cent pay cut of the money he has to receive as well for the coming season. He decided to file a suit to FIFA to have his contract with AEK Athens void.

According to reports Okkas will follow coach Dusan Bajevic at Olympiakos and will sign with the Piraeus club as soon as he becomes a free agent, knowing that he cannot get such a lucrative contract with Olympiakos.

Meanwhile, AEK Athens have extended for a further four years the contract of 28-year-old right-back Nikos Georgeas. The Athens club have not released any financial details about the new agreement.
