Greece beats Bulgaria in a friendly 2-0 and they drop a bunch of spots, however in the same month U.S. loses a friendly to Holland and Haiti and they stay in the TOP 10!! :lol: What a joke. Of course we are taking it seriously.....Many teams in the world has bad and good times,for example there were not Holland team in 2002 world cup and France in 1994 world cup,many examples u can find.....We had bad chance,critical games and we made many mistakes so we are not in Euro championship now.... If u will be succesfull 3/4 years in national games then your points will be higher than now and it will be possible to see the Greece in that list.... We are taking it seriously because,We used to play Quarter final in Euro 2000,We used to play Semi Final in the World Cup and we used to play Semi Final in Confederation Cup in 2003..... They constantly lose friendly games and sometimes they don't even play for 1 or 2 months and still somehow maintain their top 10 ranking. While other teams win game after game and somehow drop spots. And what do you expect,after 2/3 loose Usa or any team fall 10 lines down :o Its impossible,if Turkey have 1845 points now so we got in the last 5 years not after winning some 3/4 friendly or offical game.... So u have to be patient and be waiting,now u have 1766 and u need about 3 or more years if u want to make it 1800/1900.... And instead of to argue and to doubt about Fifa Rakings,u have to ask to your self,where were the Greece national team in the last 15 years while all your neighbours were playing and getting successful in euro and world cups like Romania,Bulgaria,Yugoslavia,Turkey,Crotia etc.. ;) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Lets talk about Turkey for a moment. Who did you guys beat to get into the world cup in 2002? Last i checked it was Slovakia. Then in the playoffs you got a crap Austria team who hasen't been good since the early90's and 80's. Then in the world cup you qualyfied from your group by beating China and tying Costa Rica. Then you beat the world powerhouses Japan and Senegal to reach the final 4. Give Greece teams like that to beat and they would go far too. And if you actually follow them closely and see the teams results it makes no sense whatsoever. Like i said before, some teams drop 10 spots for winning a friendly and other teams stay in the top 10 without even playing any games. Its completely off in every aspect.
