After the game Lisci did say they had literally had only one training session where he tried to instill tactics, so I'm not sure there was much to see there. Been a few days and my memory is hazy, but from what I recall he played what looked like a 4-3-3 to me, with a lot of pressure in the opposing half (very offense-minded). I have read he doesn't like the deep balls as much as a short passing game but, again, we were playing against a pretty bad team with very little preparation on our own. As far as the quality of the play...very dominant, but again not a surprise there. Zafeiris looked great. My sweet baby boy Balde also looked good. I'm pretty sure that link should still work for a replay btw, as it was just on youtube. Their page also has the next set of games already up as pending so should be easy for us to find them next time too.
pash Posted Saturday at 12:32 PM Posted Saturday at 12:32 PM (edited) Wouldn't be surprised if this first half lineup is who we actually end up with in our first real game -edit- here is the lineup. Thymianis is now in for Sarris, who got injured a few minutes in to the game. At this rate we won't make it to Christmas. Edited Saturday at 12:51 PM by pash
pash Posted Saturday at 02:05 PM Posted Saturday at 02:05 PM Goals really starting to come in now. Camara's was an absolute rocket
Dutch Eagle Posted Monday at 08:13 PM Posted Monday at 08:13 PM Sarris tore his ACL. Thymianis injured but it is probably a minor thing. 1
Blackhawk Posted Tuesday at 06:27 PM Author Posted Tuesday at 06:27 PM 3:2 win against AEK Larnaca. Chatsidis, Jeremejeff and Taison scoring the goals. 1
pash Posted Wednesday at 05:13 PM Posted Wednesday at 05:13 PM Definitely a tougher match than the others. The Cypriots still seem to like fighting us. No meniscuses torn!
Dutch Eagle Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago AEK Larnaca did very well in last years Conference League. They won 0-1 at Selhurst Park in the League Phase against (the (winners) Crystal Palace. And they drew 0-0 away and 1-1 at home (after 90 minutes) in the Round of 16 agianst Palace. They were only knocked out after Sarr (4 goals in the World Cup 2026!) scored in extra time. In the League Phase they conceeded only 1 goal in 6 matches. It is a new season but it appears to me that they are no so called "kolopetinitsa" and have a good team/manager/vision.
