Shortly after their independence, Malta's champs Sliema defeated PAO 1-0 in Valetta in the Champions' Cup (it could've been worse) About five years later, Malta's NT drew 1-1 with ours (probably their first draw v. a nation our size) About 1975, they beat our Karagiozides 2-0 (probably their first win v. a nation our size) We never seem to get a handle on these Maltese! We never beat England or English teams because we can't adapt to their style. This is a different case though, with Malta we have problems because we are arrogant and unprofessional. Should a player of Katsouranis' talent be in Greece? Should Seitaridis have been finished by the time he was 28? Should Samaras be in such a poor league that he's playing against the likes of St Mirren every week? Should Torosidis still be in Greece? It's all because of their poor attitude. We have 2 players with a superb attitude, one is Salpi and the other is Kyrgiakos, and the latter doesn't even want to play for us anymore.
