Go:bekli Posted February 24, 2010 Share Posted February 24, 2010 I hope that whoever saw the Ergotelis-OSFP match was embarrassed at seeing OSFP play as if he were the recipient of a social promotion from the D category to the super-league. Bur we must also ask if the OSFP players are overpaid or under-performing and ask how this situation can be rectified. The truth is (as far as I know it) that from the day Louvaris became vice Roy till today, OSFP is run by incompetent buffoons and is in dire need not of money, coach, or players but of a proven executive. For example, Makis Psomiadis! The man is a thug and a crook. But let us see what he has accomplished: 1) As soon as he took AEK he brought Santos who has proven to be an excellent coach They lost the championship that year only because Psomiadis had the bright idea of trying to dictate who should play and who should not and Santos told him a resolute "Fig you!". AEK did well during his tenure, not withstanding his thieving and AEK's insurmountable financial problems. All came to an end when Nikolaides proved to be a better politician-demagogue and he was ousted. 2) Then he took over Kavala. Not only Kavala is doing well, he brought another great coach who appears to know what he is doing. So, the man is a crook but his dishonesty is less costly than the incompetence of the viziers-eunuchs of the seraglio who are running the show. The man is a thug as well, but after the Nikolaides fiasco it is rumored that he has learned to cover his tracks better and after the Santos affair he is rumored to have discovered the art of being less overbearing. The man is supposed to be in jail but as we all know he is running free. Furthermore, as Socrates has already demonstrated, OSFP is a powerful shield that keeps justice and its minions away. Even if he is sent to gaol, OSFP can arrange that he be incarcerated at Korydallos, a stone's throw from Karaiskaki. This is why there is no doubt, in my mind at least, that we should draft Makis and let him worry about the rest. There is no other (safe and proven) solution!
