There are other better ways to make the league more competitive. Have a draft, money sharing, etc. And, above all make it truly professional, from the local team to the refs to the governing bodies! It's not illegal afaik ... what would be illegal is of course paying a team to lose ... :D. Anyway, I don't like the idea. Like Athinaios said, there are other, better ways to make the league competitive. Plus players or teams shouldn't need that, they should want to win every game anyway.
