I agree with much of this. Limnios 100% agree. Likewise Donis & Lazaros. I feel Lazaros needs more game time on the NT, it’s being very speradic and it’s hard to get in a rythem when the team plays so flat at times. Against Egypt we actually played with some movement and we saw what happened. Personally, with some of the guys Skibbe picks, I think it’s a shame Fetfa doesn’t get a look in. The team needs movement and off the ball runs, he and Pelkas provide this in drones and we see many others who don’t, this kills us, we need these guys there. Totally agree about Vasilakakis also

Stefanos Kapino ‒ (Now Playing for Panetolikos)
Alphonse replied to js1000's topic in Greek Players Abroad
See how he goes... has started to be a journey man and not had many minutes on the field -
? that’s the beauty of football as they say Wait till League of Nations when we see what Skibbe does
-
Thank god someone said it! We’re crying about our midfield and all of a sudden we’re calling for Toro in the midfield? Come on guys On top of it all, he’s not played midfield for 10 years
-
In case you’re referring to my post, it’s not asking for Ninis to the Ethniki
-
Well said
-
Well well well... I’m quietly curious to see his form in the GSL
-
Trust me when I say, Tsanas DID HAVE a big hand in the poor selections. Hope to god we see better selections
-
No George, Ninis was/is a good player and was in great form once. 2010 Roma ring a bell? The ethniki in recent years and I’m talking since winning the Euro, only played beautiful football when Ninis played centrally for us and we say nice flowing football played on the ground. It was never many games sadly. I still like watching Nini play. Hope he comes back to Super League, the last few seasons but for a stint in Belgium with Charleroi, have being a complete waste

Came back from 4-0 down to 4-3 in Belarus... all to play for in Athens
-
True regarding Kaltsas, I still think he is one of the better finishers of the lot. Wasn’t bad for Asteras last year but compared to what could have been... typical Greek story
-
Great move, I have not had any faith in Tsanas for some time know and the fact any coach we signed post Santos had to have him as assistant showed how little IQ EPO has. What happens next is a big question as LON in not far away.

Thanasis Papazoglou ‒ (Now Playing for Thermaikos)

So he finally scored -
No friendlies, Estonia away in LON
-
Tziolis is horrid file, xehaseto, no debate there are SL midfielders at mid table teams that are better
-
Put things in perspective and we’re comparing him to Messi? You’re in fact very off the mark here, Fetfa has being good in his performances for the ethniki
-
No other option mate, team has played rather poorly for sometime now, especially away from Greece, we saw bit of potential vs Egypt when in form players got game time and that’s what needs to happen. IMO this should be Skibbes judgement day tournament Given the defences we will face, he would be mad to not include Fetfa and have Tzioli
-
So many complications every off season but this off season has being ridiculous No doubt more to come
-
You mean had Metropolis music at Earlwood? Gooe old GRB days...
-
I think he might be coming back to Greece, his time abroad has not being great even though he had some nice highlights in his first stint in Belgium
-
@Argy yes mate, if we are gona keep up with how it is, these players need to be played in their positions, Skibbe can’t keep playing slow central players on the wings, it’s just killing us with a super slow central midfield of Tziolis too. Far out hey... Skibbe
-
Some nice line ups guys. The situation is so clear and we all want to see the issues, which are obvious fixed which is what makes this so frustrating with Skibbe. As another poster mentioned, there are some guys with great promise that have been mentioned but they need to play consistently at club level too. Galanopoulos, Kourbelis & Vasilakakis are players that should have had a decent shot next to Zeca by now
-
That's the thing though with Skibbe, he has made the same mistakes over and over, it's mind blowing, watching the WC alone has shown us that you can't use a slow team now days yet we have had Skibbe use Tziolis and Tachtisidis in our last two games... Tachtsi was tragic in both games and Tziolis is Tziolis, yet if your were a betting man, you would put a fair sum on Skibbe starting at least one of these guys in our next game. League of nationals will be a true judgement day for Skibbe, if he makes the same old mistakes we have well and truly wasted over 12 months with this kreas of a coach. All your suggestions above are better solutions to what Skibbe does
-
Bouchalakis?? He has not played a starting 11 season yet and you guys think he is the answer for the national team?

Wow big move
