  1. Could be George Baldock of Sheffield but it seems that epo are taking a huge nap at this moment.

Pretty funny considering how they acted when it was for Zeca, a non Greek by any side to get the passport.

  2. Been shouting for all these things some of you guys seem to have just figured out but we did beat some very mediocre Finnish/Bosnian/Armenian sides as well as Moldova and Kosovo and all the internet used to go nuts about the super team this idiot has built lmao.

  3. Btw something that probably most people including the idiot in the bench haven't noticed is that drawing/losing any of our games could potentially cost us the pot 3 in the upcoming wc qualification. Right now Finland stands below us with a minimal difference so aside from the embarassment of not topping a group like this, the team could very easily end up being in pot 4.

Had we at least drawn Austria and won against Kosovo would have secured it.

In 2014, the year we went to the WC quarterfinals, we beat Malta by one goal in extra time by Torosidis.  We never played well against worse teams.  The only difference now is that we are having more chances, back then, we would have one chance and score.  We are missing that striker that can make the finishes needed.  I agree with Bakesetas, he should be on the bench or when we want to slow the game down. Should not be in when we are chasing the goal.

That was a qualifier for Euro 2012.

We’ve never truly dominated a game. Even from Euro 2004 until now we’ve either just beaten teams worse than us 1-0 or 2-1 and lost to teams worse than is 1-0, 2-1. We got embarrassed against Colombia 3-0 in the World Cup and somehow drew against Japan. We won by a penalty against Ivory Coast. We somehow held Costa Rica.

I’m not trying to be pessimistic but if you look at our history we’ve always struggled in many way either if it’s a win or a loss. This tells me that 1. Our players have been good enough to begin with or 2.we never truly play our best 11.

The selections have always been a problem. And I ask why? Why is it so difficult for us to put a proper 11? International games are not played every week. So that’s why teams must choose the players available. A lot of players are young and most haven’t reached their potential yet.

I don’t really know where I’m going with this but all I know when your struggling to win comfortably against teams like Moldova, Kosovo and lower then you have ask questions. Who is really picking the team?

That's a thing I have been shouting for since Skibbe era. Although I do realise we had a limited talent pool back then and were forced to play with Tziolis, Maniatis, Tzavellas etc as well as no real winger, if you actually remember. But we did have some players like Mitroglou, Manolas and Sokratis and missing any of them was a real pain in the ass, just go back and read the forum in these games.

Regarding your question I'm sure since the Epo is pro Aek/Paok, the owners of these clubs in connection with some known managers make the selections so for their players to get noticed by international scouters. Otherwise I literally can't explain how for example we keep watching Mantalos starting, or some Aek/Paok trashes like Michailidis and Svarnas making the squad.

You'd have realised it yourself since there's no logic for a Dutch coach who played for years professional football at Ajax, rotating two CBs in the right back position.

I agree with both of you!

jvs made a lot of well overdue changes, but there's still more work to be done. He said in the post gamer that that review and adjust after each game.... Well he better actually start fcking doing that cause that sort of logic and take on things looked non existent in the 3 games. Instead it looked like groundhog day with Bill Murray.

I'm all for him trying things out, np trying a cb at rb cause you don't trust your young called up rb. Also np trying tzavellas at cb which has been his natural club position for a few yrs now, and nothing wrong with having a vet in the squad.

And yes it's a rebuild, so there will be ups and downs, but even in a rebuild common sense still applies and I think we're all seeing some familiar issues coming back. Albeit not the same as before, but definitely things that shouldn't still be lingering.

Anyways, let's see what he puts on the field in the next round of games and we'll go from there.

There are players in the super league like the one of Asteras Tripolis (Kotsiras) or Atromitos (Kyvrakidis) who would cover the RB position much better than a slow, heavy CB like Labropoulos. That's a common sense but there's someone in the bench who gets paid 600K per year to field up an abnormal side by all means.

We also need to remember that historically, we have not played well against teams that play defensive.  We are not a team that ever scored more than two goals (except for that miracle 4 goals against Bosnia years ago).  The fact that we are playing open football will only help us, at some point the goals will come.  There are a lot of new players and they are starting to get to know one another.  Limnios/Masouras/Hatzi/Giannoulis/Tsimakis/Pavlidis/Tziolis just started their NT careers and are already starters (except for Tziolis, but he is only 18).  Limnios in particular has impressed and cemented his place on the right wing.  I really believe if we can have both Giannoulis/Tsimakis on the left side,  we would be very dangerous.  The defenders have not really been tested (because we have been having the bulk of possession these games) and that can potentially expose them.  The only way to know is by having them play games.

Svarnas embarrassed himself trying to chase a Kosovo player, he literally was dribbled twice before falling on the pitch.

While I do agree with what you say, I think Canada would be a good example of that you’re right. But you’re forgetting they actually won the 2000 gold cup. And beat USA Mexico and Colombia to do it. Great teams? No. But good teams. That can’t be overlooked.

on another note , how many coaches has this team had in the past 5 years? Surely they can’t all be at fault. At what point do we start thinking that maybe this team isn’t good enough. Maybe they need time. But I don’t see anyone knocking down the doors for their players. Which says a lot.

Skibbe was an ok coach (although he messed up firstly with Holebas and later in nations league) and managed a very poor team in terms of talent. Almost had them in the world cup but had to overcome Belgium and Croatia, eventual runners up and 3rd placed team of the tournament.

Van Clown is getting paid to sub on a CB instead of another CB when the team needs to score. What's also retarded is that the so called CB was eventually supposed to cover the RB position...

Again - Overall we played well.  We were just missing the final touch.  We should have won by a few goals, didn't happen.  One thing that is obvious is that we need a rb even if it's Bakakis.  We also need a winger in there, Mantalos is not the answer.  Would prefer Fortounis instead of Bakesetas, or even Mantalos.

There's Donis who for some reason doesn't make the squad, perhaps it's because we have the next Balloon D Or winner in Mantalos playing there. There's also Masouras on the bench and some playeds like Chatzigiovannis and Lambrou.

    • Haha 1
  10. It's amazing how some people pretending to be shocked by the result. Had you half any proper football knowledge you could see this team would get embarrassed sooner or later, but you were actually happy getting narrow wins against Armenias and Moldovas with the media every day praising the clown on the bench.

What's actually funny is hoping to qualify in a world cup with such a squad.

Not bad indeed old friend. Only ones I disagree with are Sokratis, as I think he can’t run anymore and with three in the back he will struggle. I don’t rate Vasiliadis, and I’d still have Bakakis in there. Fetfazidis is about as useless as a rudder on a ducks a**

i'd rather have fetfatzidis in the wing than mantalos who has been playing out of position for some retarded reason and can't offer anything.

Not a bad line up at all. I have to admit i don't know too much about Baldock...

he is a starter in premier league with sheffield united, last year didn't miss any single game if i'm not mistaken. definitely gonna be a huge upgrade over those lampropoulos/chatzidiakos tryouts or even mpakakis. rota needs to step up his game, he's not nt level yet.

If you think he’s getting sacked while putting up results right now you are living in a dream world.
Yes the call ups are not ideal in some cases I get it..The difference between me and you is I call it as I see it, I’m not a straight up hater, I give the coach credit when it’s warranted and I criticize when I see fit.. You have been hating from the start wether they play good or not.. Homie I don’t see anyone “Hidden” as you say, It’s almost like you want this team to lose just so JVS can get fired so you can some how feel inferior.. I’ve said it from the beginning I may not like the guys call ups but if he’s slowly rebuilding the team and wining at the same time then I’m okay with that even though I do get frustrated with his selections.. But I’ll tell you straight I never liked Skibbes selections and the other 3 coaches before him anyways..  So why don’t you put your ideal line up down here for everyone to see, let’s see what a team of Boxou looks like.. And There’s a difference between someone bashing you and someone Disagreeing with you..

    vlachodimos - barkas

    tsimikas - giannoulis

    manolas - siovas - mavropanos - chatzidiakos

    baldock - lykogiannis

    galanopoulos - zeca - kourmpelis - bouchalakis

    fortounis - pelkas

    donis - fountas - masouras - limnios

    pavlidis - koulouris - bakasetas

sokratis and mitroglou should definitely be around if they start being active on their teams again. other options for the back are retsos, kyriakopoulos, stafylidis (who should start playing again), perhaps mpakakis but i don't rate him. vasileiadis is a good alternative in the midfield and i personally rate him above kourmpelis who can't play the ball forward and is an average player at the very best. wouldn't mind having fetfatzidis or chatzigiovannis but the latter should step up his game, and tzolis needs to prove himself more to earn a place in the team.

as you see half of the squad such like lampropoulos who is a 30 year old defender playing in bundesliga 2 is a joke of a player and more of a joke is this clown in the bench who uses him or chatzidiakos as a right back and as a result he kills the offensive tempo and makes us useless since they can't either cross, run or be offensive against quicker and shorter players. fcking lmao not even an amauter coach puts a centre back to play in the right and a left back like stafylidis as a centre back.

mantalos is totally useless while tzavellas, michailidis and such call ups are not even worth mentioning.
