btw quite laughable that you come to defend someone who plays centre backs on the right, benches fortounis because of his lack of playing time but on the other hand calls up omonoia's benchwarmer mavrias and overlooks Kivrakidis/Kotsiras.
or the example of benchwarmer stafylidis who covered the cb position while himself is a left back.
or his decision to keep real wingers on the bench and start mantalos on the wing.

Michailidis proved he doesn't deserve to be in the roster when he was on fault on both goals Greece conceded against Austria.
Anyway I don't really get why there's a discussion about Cb's when half of them have an open beef with the clueless man on the bench and the other half are injured. Svarnas, Michailidis, Lambropoulos, Tzavellas and co would never be on the plans of a serious coach who aims to qualify for the world cup.

Also no idea why he keeps calling players like Rota when he is not going to use them and not a rated player like Donis who might be out of form but would definitely be a good solution of the bench.

Would like for once if someone could explain why for example Mavrias with no playing time gets a call up while the Asteras Tripolis/Atromitos right backs are being overlooked, or even Kitsiou. Btw lack of playing time was the reason why Fortounis has been benched but that didn't stop him to call up Harris fcking Mavrias as if we're living 2012 all over again.

Btw laughable RB selection with Mavrias, who is a bench warmer in a team that even Paok can't take down.
Michailis is probably around because he was amazing the last time he entered the field and cost us 2 goals in 5 minutes against Austria.
Hope they lose all 3 so the clueless one is out, but then again pro Paok/Aek epo will find one manager who will promote their players.

Not yet, what I know is that Mavropanos stays out for about a month since his injury last week, so there's a chance he might be available but still it's minimal.

Retsos got injured again, so did Mavropanos. So frustrating these guys are more fragile than glass.

Common sense was to use the best players possible in nations league because results do matter not only for our ranking but also for our placement in future draws.
Anastasiadis F***ed up last campaign when we lost to f***ing Estonia and hence one of Romania/Scotland, don't recall correctly took our place in the NL playoffs.

Read a really dumb article about Soc on Contra.gr. For me Soc has been one of the best Greek players in the last 10 years and has had a great career at club and NT level. At 32, he still has at least 2-3 good years at the top level and I'm sure he will find a club. I would still include him in a the Greece squad , either as a back up CB or even as a back up RB which he played when he was at Dortmund, and until we find the next Torosides which isn't going to happen any time soon.
Aside of the fact that there's no real RB in your squad we might be better if we use 3 in the back, something like Siovas/Manolas/Mavropanos with Tsimikas and Limnios being the full backs. In the midfield I'd like Bouchalakis and Galanopoulos with Fortounis in front of them, then Donis and Pavlidis up front. I'd take Stafylidis out because he's out of form for more than a year and we literally don't need 4 Left backs in the squad. Lykogiannis of Calgiari would be a much better alternative.

Looks like Fernando Santos who won the Euros with Portugal is totally dumb who always had Manolas/Sokratis/Siovas in his team.
Someone needs to wake asap and fire this a**hole who gets paid 600K per year to rotate CBs in the right back.

You miss one thing over there; Lambropoulos is 30 fcking years old playing in second divisions of Germany and Spain.

How can the attackers get good service when we play with we have literally no one able to make a direct pass/cross to them? Mpakasetas can't, Zeca can't, Kourmpelis can't, our back 4 with Cbs covering the right back position can't and Mantalos is literally useless the way he's being utilized.
For example I don't rate Bouchalakis but in a proper team like Olympiakos he looks a OK solution for our midfield, at least since we tend to see that epitome of mediocrity Kourmpelis getting the automatic start again and again. Masouras and Donis are proper wingers and much better that Mantalos who's not a winger.
And for christ's sake just use a left back in the right, we have plenty of them in a good level and it is much better than what we have seen there with Hatzidiakos and Lambropoulos.

The fact that Svarnas is around because either the coach have a beef with some players (Sokratis, Siovas and Manolas), or because some of them have been injured in the past games (Retsos and Mavropanos), or even because we do use our CBs like Hatzidiakos in the right back position.
And then as the 7th option in the rotation comes Svarnas along with the pensioner Tzavellas. That says a lot about his quality and the real reason he's around the team.

Hopefully not Svarnas because he literally can't even turn his body. Manolas on the other hand is 29, has plenty of years left in top competition and soon will be around once this clown gets sacked.

Neither do I, but regarding the right back situation I still can't believe how to Cb's have been the main rotation guys there? Get Kivrakidis of Atromitos or Kotsiras of A.Tripolis, at least they'd do the basic staff a RB does and wouldn't walk around the pitch like headless chickens as Hatzidiakos did, although it wasn't his fault because it's not his natural position.
